dark orange color, nice foam. flavor is slightly smokey but not overpowering. didn’t think a smoked lager could be this refreshing but it really really is nice. on tap at ecentric cafe slimchill (1044) - Austin, Texas, USA - MAY 7, 2012
Draught. Bright clear copper, thin white head. Sweet nose, caramel and malt. Mild smoke flavor, well incorporated into a generally complex malt profile, biscuit, toast, straw. Clean and easy drinking. A very nice take on a hybrid between a Rauch and a Vienna. nimbleprop (8949) - SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA - AUG 19, 2013
4oz pour at Churchkey’s Bells event during DC Beer Week 2013. Pours a clear caramel amber with some wispy white head. Nose is lightly smokey, woody, nuts, fall fruit, some corn. Flavor is well balanced, light smoke, brown make, caramel, bread, lightly nutty, orange. Crisp finish with a hint of smoke. Extremely well balanced. shrubber85 (11710) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - SEP 2, 2013

Draft pour at Craft Day Afternoon (Chicago, IL). Pours a crisp amber pour, touches of copper, shiny glow, with a huge offwhite head that cakes big and laces well. Aromas are decent smokey meatiness, some sweet biscuits and light toffee, smoke is decent in strength, touches of ham and light florals. Initial is light bodied, a nice kick of smoked malts throwing some carmelized sweetness, smokey hammyness. Touches of bread dough, biscuits, and toast. Lingering smoke, carmelized malts. Solid lighter smoked offering. I could do this in bottles. It’s simple yet I enjoyed it. Drake (14332) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 26, 2012
Served on draft at Beer Run. Pours a clear amber color with a thin head that quickly fades. Aroma of big smoky notes, salty ham and caramel malts. The taste is big smoky notes with some bitter astringent qualities and pale caramel malts. Medium bodied.
