2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Sampled at the New Amsterdam Market Cider Revival.
Clear plastic cup. Dusty, faded straw body.
Wheaty, yeasty, tart, cardboard scent.
Taste is saline, hay, core, mineral water. Yeasty & a touch medicinal. A hard sparkle.
None of these are very good.
Bottle. Pours a war light gold body under an active fizzy white head that faded. Looks like a nice glass of champagne. The nose is lightly sweet with some nice bright apple skins and juice. The flavor is a little on the sweeter side, not sure I could drink a whole bottle of this, but half of one won’t be a problem. Rather clean and bright with just a little acidity to add a little sharpness up front. Light bodied and fizzy with lively carbonation. An ok cider I guess, not a regular purchase, but better than most cheap champagne. udubdawg (30) - Kansas, USA - DEC 30, 2014
nice pop of the top and highly bubbly pour into my glass. not quite bright, but not overly dull, and clarity of the straw colored drink is quite good. Aroma has some suggestion of tartness, some hay, yeast, skin, moderate paint-like aldehydes, Dusty, muddled, and lacks some clarity of flavor/aroma; showing its age?
Flavor follows aroma but with a touch more overt apple. Listed as dry, seems on the border of off-dry to medium, but sweetness is well in the background and not obtrusive at all. Good effort, showing a bit less yeast stress than some of their other ciders, especially considering the amount of refreshingly spritzy carbonation tossing them up into the drinker’s nose. beerbill (3619) - Laurel, New York, USA - AUG 11, 2014
750 ml bottle. Pours a cloudy gold with a thin fizzy head that vaporizes almost immediately. Pleasant aroma of apples that is more tart than sweet with a bit of yeast in the nose as well. The flavor is similar with lots of apple flavor, more tart than sweet but elements of both, along with some yeast. auerbrau (3203) - Ithaca, New York, USA - NOV 6, 2011
750mL Bottle, poured at CiderDays 2011. Astringent wax arom and flavor that are unpleasant. Almost heads into band-aids or medicine territory, which is kind of bizarre and off. Carbonation levels are really enjoyable, but there’s a rough, chemmy, bitterness throughout.

Pours straw color with fizzy carbonation. Smells of crisp, sweet apples, some tarte undertones. Tastes dry with a nice appley sweet hint on the finish. jason (1834) - Easton, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 23, 2007
Bottle. Clear amber body. Aroma has a slight tartness to it, light yeast. Flavor has a dry tart, light sugar. Very drinkable. Nicely done. AskForJenny (1086) - Ontario, New York, USA - MAY 31, 2006
Effervesance greets you at the pour. The first taste can offset you a little, lot of metabisulfite. After that it goes real nice with the flavor changing from dry and yeasty to aromatic and acidic as the bottle warms. Flavor and quality equal to that of the English producers I have sampled, dry and not at all sweet. Great to be drinking a product from a local producer.
