Bottle from the source. Almost black color, small brown head. Aroma of brown bread, cherries, light vanilla. Taste is softly sour cherry, raspberry, port wine. delicious. mcberko (19175) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 17, 2013
500mL bottle, pours black with a small brown head. Aroma brings out acidic fruit, roasted malt, and oak - very complex and nice mix of sour and stout qualities. Flavour brings out loads of oak barrels, moderate tartness, slight acidic fruit qualities and a little residual roast from the malt. This combines sour and stout extremely well. Quite complex, with the oak and tartness front and centre. Nothing is overbearing, but it all meshes well. Great stuff. jtclockwork (17374) - , New Jersey, USA - JUL 23, 2013
UPDATED: AUG 17, 2013 Draft at Torst. Pours black with tan head. Nose and taste of sour cherry, roast chocolate malt and roast coffee. Mildly acidic. Great roast. Nice balance. Medium body. Ferris (16696) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 17, 2013
Bottle - Dark roast malts, oak and some sour berry. Jet black with thin brown head. First sour stout I have ever liked. Dark roast, berry, barrel and sourness. Brilliant. Sammy (12844) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 8, 2013
A very well made beer, one of the best Bellwoods has been involved in. Black with lace at the bottom. Cherry aroma. Brux and Lamb and Lactob. and pedioccus and magnum and Flemish yeast. Chocolate in finish. Carbonation understated, a plus. A Flemish without palate erasing. Worth seeking out.

on tap-tan-mahogany. A-roasty/cocoa-med malt, some sour. T-follows. Interesting. 3.4 jercraigs (10921) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 6, 2013
2013-07-28. Black body, modest foamy tan head. 3++ Aroma is moderately lactic and lightly roasty. 7+ Flavour is pleasantly sour, light roasty undertones throughout. 7++ Average bodied palate, good carbonation throughout. Tasty but I find it very difficult to find a sour stout that manages a balance between sourness and roast that suits my preferences. I expect that this will be well received but it is not enitrely to my own taste. On tap at Bellwoods, Toronto DuffMan (10727) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - JAN 3, 2015
Bottle, 2013 vintage, #599. Dark brown, lively beige head, light lace. Dark malts, fruity lactic sourness that doesn’t overpower, corky undertones, creamy mouthfeel. Nice balance here, I like the overall rounded, gentle character. mabel (9874) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 12, 2014
[5607-20130728] Tap. Yeasty roasted grains aroma. Black body with a quick foamy tan head. Sour yeasty roast flavour has a zesty citrus aftertaste. Medium-full body. Tasty. (7/3/8/4/16) 3.8 blipp (9783) - La Mesa, California, USA - SEP 2, 2013

Pours deep brown with a beige head. Funky and lightly tart, with lightly roasted malts, dark fruits, and toast. Good stuff.
