Bottle from bottle shop two years ago; cellared. Vertical tasting with the 2016 version of this. Smells of tart plum skins, with some lemon and straw. Tastes of plums, with some straw and lemon rind. You can tell this is boozy. This version has more bitterness than the newer one, is sweeter, and is not that sour by comparison. There is a peculiar astringent quality to the aftertaste; having has this quite some time ago fresh and because I didn’t rate it at the time, I don’t recall if that was there when fresh, or if this is a result of aging. Sampled at a tasting. Murky yellow gold. White foam. Funky fruity aro a. Begins as a candy but the funk and fruit kick in. Brett. A dry bitterness. This coats the back of the throat. Nice. jackl (8092) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JAN 24, 2016
Bottle @ Steasy’s. Thanks for sharing! Hazy gold pour with a small head. Mild bretty nose. Buggy wood. Some honeyed bread. Similar flavor. Barrel character. Mild peach. Somewhat oily. yourilevesque (1829) - Montréal, Quebec, CANADA - JAN 21, 2016
Thanks to Nick for this one! Stoned99 (1557) - St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, CANADA - JAN 18, 2016
500ml 2014 bottle from trade with Laurent A. Drank 4 days ago. Dang you Beer Buddy not synchronizing my ratings anymore! Aroma: mix of lots of fruits including citrus, plums, raisins, apples. Really complex and interesting nose. App: hazy golden, medium white head, ok retention and beautiful lacing. Taste and palate: medium body, really vinous, dry, some vanilla in mouth acidity and slightly bitter finish. Overall: pretty good. Quite complex. Lots of stuff going on here. Both in mouth and nose. Good stuff!

Bottle from the brewery. 2012 bottling, so bit over three years old when enjoyed. Opened with a powerful pop & poured with lots of fizz. Bot hazy reddish-gold with a tight head of active bubbles. Lots of funky tartness in the aroma & flavour, and sour plum & oak in the finish. Mighty fine!

Bottle shared by Ryan, thanks! Pours a hazy gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of earthy grains with some funky fruits and a decent amount of sweetness. Flavor has a good amount of sweet grains with a light earthy tart fruit and a decent amount of funk. Bacterial (3000) - Twin Cities, Minnesota, USA - DEC 12, 2015
Funky a tad spicy finishing surprisingly sweet for a beer with Brett in it. Very
mildly sour, with a hint of acetic. thomashall (994) - New Hope, Minnesota, USA - DEC 12, 2015
