[5740-20130824] Tap. Rotting grapes and wet live fish aroma. Slightly hazy, pale yellow brown body with a quick bubbly head. Bitter grapes flavour has a long yeasty aftertaste. Medium body has a sour quality. Interesting but don’t want pints of it. (7/3/6/3/12) 3.1

On tap at the brewery. Dry-hopped Berliner, 3.5% vey light slightly cloudy gold. Wheat, sour, tart, toejsm, funky yoghurt aroma. Nice wheaty beer, tart and salty with a touch of a lactic quality and for the low ABV it has quite a satisfying body. Good stuff & my first Berliner Weisse on tap.

On tap at Bellwoods. Pours a near clear, light yellow with a one finger, white head that laces well. Aroma is very slightly tart with notes of pine, tropical fruits, and resin. Taste is a touch tart with a bit of pungent/earthy grass, tropical fruityness, and a hint of pine/resin at the end. Low-medium body with a medium carbonation. Light texture with a lively carbonation and a dry finish. Very refreshing. Overall a great summer beer. Very slightly tart with some great tropical/pine flavours as well. dfearnley (2284) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - AUG 7, 2014

I'm having the 'Mash Pipe' which comes with a blackberry compote, but rating without.
Aroma of, well lactobacillus, which I'm trying to get used to as a 'good' aroma. Lemon comes through too. Cloudy yellow in colour with no head. Flavourwise, it's lactobacillus and lemon too...time for the compote.
Compote really mellows the aroma and taste, but I think it's better.
Draught at the brewpub. Bright and slightly hazy yellow-gold, small white head. Great combo of tart lemon, tropical fruit and green hops in the aroma. Light, crisp, refreshing body. Clean and bright flavour with light lemon, tart green apple, hints of grapefruit zest & cut grass. Perfect hot weather beer. Excellent!

(Draft at the brewpub, Jul 19 2014) Pours a hazy very pale straw with a good sized bubbly white head. Aroma dominated by Galaxy aromas of passion fruit, citrus rind and other tropical fruit, seemed like some lemon from the Berliner complementing it, slightly tart but lactic aroma not apparent. Flavour more Berliner as expected, lemony, slight pear and herbal notes, tart but light and clean with just a little yogurt and cereal character. Finish is a bit brief and slightly watery, fruit doesn’t persist much but tartness does. Body quite light with effervescent carb. Very refreshing, nose has you expecting an APA so flavour messes with expectation. Just wish the flavours were a bit more concentrated, especially on the finish. Draft - Grapefruit and grassy. Hazy pale yellow with a decent white head. Lemon and some green grape. Lightly tart and very refreshing. Alpha10 (814) - Ontario, CANADA - MAY 11, 2014
2014/05/11 - Pours a hazy, pale yellow colour, with a large, foamy white head that quickly reduces. Aroma is dough, wheat, funk, and tart lemon. Taste is wheat, mild funk and a ton of tart lemon. Finish is crisp and refreshing. Light bodied, with thin, silky mouthfeel and low carbonation. Not a huge fan of the style, but still enjoyable on a warm, spring day.

Tap. Pours straw gold with haze. Short white soapy head. Nose robustly of pizza dough, and toasted bread. Smells like a pizza oven, in a good way. Unusually appetizing. Yeast and funk. Head flattens out quickly but is backed up by lots of champagne carbonation.
Very sour. Lightly salted. Apples, berry tart, and a tonne of lemon. Crusty with monster flavours for what reads as 3.7%. Very interesting. If somebody said this was a gose... I’d say "sure". It’s very complex and fun. Wheat beer crossed with a loaf of sour dough bread. I’d love to have this with some oysters. Delicious jercraigs (10731) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 29, 2013
2013-08-24. Hazy bright pale yellow with a small white head. Aroma is a bit odd, with a lactic grainy pale malt character, mild sourness. Flavour is pleasantly sour with grainy pale malt base, lovely lemony acidic notes but I find the graininess of the base is very distracting. Sour lemon character grows as you drink through it, improving it greatly for me but I still find that I don’t really care for it. Average to light bodied palate, low carbonation. Shows promise but just okay. In fairness a lot of what I don’t care for is common to many Berliner Weisses. A decent example of a style that is not one of my favorites.
