Bottle, via trade with jercraigs (thanks Jeremy!). Dark brown with amber highlights and a big brown head that recedes to chunky flotsam. Aroma is quite sweet, fruity with notes of pine and roast. Light pine, ripe tropical fruits, a touch of manure, sweet dark malts, assertively bitter finish. Very nice.

2014-08-16. Very dark brown body with small beige head. 3+ Aroma of vegetation and green hops. Flavour has similar mix of green hops and vegetation. Very smooth average bodied palate, soft carbonation. 3+ Decent, but the greenery of the hops is not entirely to my own tastes. UPDATED: JUL 30, 2014 500mL bottle, sent from wilco (thanks a lot, Mike), pours black with a medium beige head. Nose brings out moderate roasted malt, with a touch of salted caramel, and moderate hops. Flavour is exceptionally well-balanced, with a robust roasted malt component, followed by powerful dry hops, and with a touch of caramel as well. Nothing harsh about this, yet the flavours are robust as hell. Smooth, creamy palate and exceedingly high drinkable. Another immense winner from Bellwoods.
