A heavyweight Saison you could lay down a bomber or two of, mine was on draught. Fuzzy orange look with creamy white head, aromas of vanilla, spice and fruit. Deep round flavors of rooty spices nd himts of candy lemon and vanilla. Apricots, apple butter and prunes. Creamy palate, late bitterness seems to be from hops and herbal spices. Only a hint candy-ish and never too heavy.
Lovely saison, rich plum and lemony flavors with rich maltiness, gentle sour finish. Highly drinkable with a dangerously hidden abv. neongolden (1605) - Linköping, Sweden/Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 20, 2014
(750mL 2012 bottle from the brewery, cellared ~20mo) Pours a hazed dark brownish orange with a big pillowy white head that really lingers with lots of lace. Aroma of bready malt, slight banana ester, cloves, orange peel, and a tart slightly lemony sour mash note. Palate initially kind of sweet, bready, orange. Bit of tartness pops up in the middle, it’s no Berliner but there’s a hint of lemon to it. Some slightly sweet malt persists alongside to the finish, with orange peel and an herbal bitterness for some balance. Mouthfeel is medium full with soft and effervescent carb that is creamy on the tongue and spritzes on the top of the throat. Drinks well with little alcohol present. Did not try this fresh but think the time helped it, the clove was not overpowering and the booze/sweetness seemed nicely muted. Not as tart or, in my opinion, as good as the 2013 but a nice big pale Belgian nonetheless. GRM (4014) - Aylmer, Quebec, CANADA - FEB 9, 2014

Cask Days 2013.
Hazy yellow pour, small white head. Tropical fruit aroma, lime, and kiwi come through. Malts are sweet, and bready, wth some light yeasty esters. Finish was lightly bitter, with more tropical fruit, and some light tartness, with some solid lemon, and the alcohol is nowhere to be found. Nice stuff! A hazed amber ale with a thin off white head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with smooth butterscotch notes, tropical fruits, nice. In mouth, a sweet smooth lemony malt with kiwi, leechee, nice and smooth. Cask Days 2013.

Bottle from the brewery. Pours a slightly hazy deep orange with a whole bunch of fine white head that doesn’t really seem to dissipate much, also leaves a bunch of lacing. Smell is slightly sour and tart, but also has a distinct fruitiness to it that may come from the champagne yeast, interesting. Palate is medium bodied with some really strong carbonation. Taste is really nice, not nearly as sour as the smell would hint, starts with some spiciness and some tart bitterness builds a bit before giving way to some slight sweetness and more tartness in the aftertaste along with some alcohol heat. Very nice, I’m really enjoying this, looking forwards to this year’s version. Viper666 (3286) - Richelieu, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 9, 2013
Great big bite right off the top. Complex and wild notes along with a big finish. The lime notes come through but are very subtle and still the beer is complex and cleat at the same time. Very cool. rejtable (2621) - Ontario, CANADA - APR 9, 2013
Pours light orange with huge head and good lacing. Nose is spicy with some orange fruit and yeast. Aromas also include rye slices and a bit of earthy hop bitterness. Really neat take on style. Full body with lively carbonation. blankboy (7662) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - APR 2, 2013
Bottle [750ml] shared with GregClow, jerc & mabel -- c/o GregClow. Pours a hazy orange-copper with a large fluffy off-white and some lacing on the glass. Aroma and flavour are yeasty, fruity and herbal along with lots of cloves and nutmeg. Medium bodied. Fantastic, I loved the spiciness of it.
