Bottle. Pours a hazed brown with a thin tan head. Roast and cocoa on the nose. Medium bodied, roast and cocoa, soft chocolate. Slow chocolate finish, lingering cocoa. mabel (9874) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 25, 2015
[7507-20150814] Bottle. Chocolate roasty grains aroma has a little hint of celery. Brown cola body with a medium-lasting foamy tan head. More chocolatey roasted grains and odd celery notes in the flavour. Medium-full body. Good but a little strange. (7/3/7/3/14) 3.4 jercraigs (10921) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 23, 2015

2015-08-14. Dark brown body with a small beige head. 3++ Aroma is tangy and nutty, moderate roast. Flavour is similar, lightly tangy dusty roast, muted dark malt core. Average bodied palate, modest carbonation. 3+ okay, not really to my tastes. Bottle from Bellwoods, Toronto. robinvboyer (4779) - Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 21, 2015
Tap at the brewpub. Truly a light porter. Reminded me of an oatmeal brown ale. I can see how if was put in the porter category though cause it was quite a bit roastier than a brown ale would be. The oatmeal added a great full bodiedness to the motuhfeel, and the roast was solid and satusfying throughout. There is a pronounced nuttiness that balanced well with the slight, and i mean slight pine resin hopiness i found near the end. A superb drinking full bodied dark, mdelicious ale. Kinda a mild, porter brown hybrid. Bellwoods hits another homerun. JoeMcPhee (9580) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 20, 2015

roasty. Some great chocolate notes, light herbal aroma with a bit of
really lovely roasty notes. Lots of toasty character malt through the
middle of the palate. Leathery sort of middle notes and a very light
dried fruit aroma. Medium bodied with a touch of sweetness on the
finish. Really balanced. A rock solid brown porter.
Deep brown with a good beige head. Aroma is chocolate, caramel, hint of vanilla and almond. Full bodied, creamy mouthfeel, nutty sweet on the palate with a lightly roasty bitterness on the finish. Taste is chocolate, almond, hint of vanilla, lightly roasted grains. tom10101 (6279) - Quebec, CANADA - JUN 9, 2015
Bottle (500 ml). Bottled on May 25th 2015, so only a few weeks old. Thanks to Sammy for the bottle. Split 2-ways. Listigovers (1343) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 6, 2015
Appearance: Brown with a small beige head, low retention and some lacing.
Aroma: A bunch of hazelnuts along chocolatey malts, a bit of hops, mild smokey notes and hints of caramel.
Taste: Almost no sweetness. Again, it’s hazelnuts forward with some chocolatey malts, light caramel, smokey notes and very light bitterness.
Palate: Light to medium body. Medium carbonation. Nutty finish.
Overall: Very good Brown Porter. The balance is impressive. Tasty and super easy drinking.
Moderate roasted aroma with a bit of chocolate, black pour with creamy brown head. Body is light while remaining creamy, there is a lot of flavour in this beer, some chocolatey malt flavour, hops provide dryness without bittering it too much. Really good. thorongil2 (3479) - , Ontario, CANADA - JUN 5, 2015
(bottle) clear dark brown colour with a medium tall brown head; aroma of roast, fruit; balanced flavour; medium body (not as watery as many of the type) GregClow (3402) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 30, 2015
Bottle from the brewery. Deep brown-black with a thin tan head. Nice bitter cocoa aroma with some light toasted hazelnut, bit of coffee & smoke. Flavour is lovely - mocha & caramel malt, light smoke, slightly tart tang in the fairly dry finish. Light bodied - perhaps a bit too light, but perfect on a sticky and hot day like today. Quite nice!
