COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Farmageddon #11 is a 12-14 month blend of oak-aged, wild farmhouse ales. Batch #11 sees us drop the "Barrel Aged Brett Saison" descriptor formerly used for Farmageddon in favour of "Wild Farmhouse Ale" due to the range of microflora at play (a mixture of wild yeasts and bacteria), and the increase in tartness in this batch relative to those before it. The effervescent beer that hibernates in these bottles is a dynamic labour of love, changing and improving with time.

On tap at Farmhouse Fest, pours a cloudy blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out light honey sweetness and a touch of funk. Flavour is nicely balanced, with lots of pleasant hay, farmhouse funk, and rustic saison yeast. Complex and light, with a hay-like finish. Very good.

2017-05-07. Lightly hazy dark yellow body with a modest quick beige that head fades. Aroma is moderate, pleasant vinous white wine character. Whispers of wood and light funk. Flavour is lightly funk, light vinous white wine like fruit. Smooth average body is almost flat to its detriment in my opinion. Enjoyable but falls fairly short of my expectations. I really think some more carbonation would have made it more cohesive. I have more bottles so we shall see. 7/3/7/3/15-16 Bottle from Bellwoods, Toronto.

Bottle, shared with Parksy And Dave. Hazy medium gold, lively white head. Funky barnyard meets spicy oak with lemony tartness. Finish is bone dry. Complex and very drinkable. Excellent.

Thanks to tom10101 for providing us with this bottle! It pours a pretty hazy yellow with a white rim that leaves some to good lacing. Nose is of oak, wine, fruits and light oxidation. Taste is of nice (red?) wine with some cereals, more oak and a moderate tartness. Almost feels juicy. Body and carbonation were moderate and mouthfeel was super vinous. A really nice wine barrel aged saison. Really wine forward but it all makes sense!

czar (9338) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - APR 25, 2017
bottle shared by mathieuc, thanks bro! pours hazy/cloudy very light golden with a small white cap offering some retention and lacing. tons of orchard fruits, lightly peppery bretts, spicy and fruity seizanne yeast; white wine, smooth oak, fragrant herbs and flowers, gingery citrus. bright carbonation, light body, very lightly tart spicy-herbal-citrusy finish. very solid herbal kind of funky barrel-aged saison.

Hazy bright yellow color with white head. Aroma has really nice floral and grassy yeast esters, not too funky, just clean floral yeast. Taste has a light lemon tartness, quite clean but floral and grassy with meadow flowers and farmhouse flavors. Light body, medium carbonation. Overall it’s a really well made, rustic farmhouse ale.
