COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This brett barrel aged farmhouse ale is aged from 6-12 months prior to serving. Bottles are refermented in the bottle and 7.3% ABV. Initial batch was released as Barrel Aged Farmhouse Saison. Barrels used are repurposed cider and wine barrels pitched with multiple strains of brett. Different barrels are blended for each bottling. Forthcoming labels will indicate bottling date for those interested in tracking the idiosyncrasies unique to each blending.

Listigovers (1173) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 12, 2015
UPDATED: APR 5, 2016 Rating 500: Smells vingary and funky. Bottle almost exploded, lost probably a quarter of it to the wall/ceiling/floor, hazy gold with little head. Lots of woodiness, tastes somewhat similar to white wine but more sour, fairly light bodied and lots of carbonation, the light body leaves a little bit of heat from the alcohol. Lots of bizarre yeasty flavours from the brett, very funky beer, nice one Bellwoods! Re-rate: I’ve drank this beer so much and love it more every time so giving it a few more points.

MartinT (9880) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 12, 2015
UPDATED: JUN 9, 2016 My Bottom Line:
Hay-laced brettanomyces is met by caprine angles and citrusy hops, as white wine connotations stick the landing.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A slice of foam covers the misty golden.
-The honeyed residual sugars in the tap version surprised me.
-The complexity of this one is highly enjoyable, yet remains low profile if you are not paying attention.
-The higher carbonation in the bottle works wonderfully, increasing the perception of dryness.

Bottles, and on tap at Siboire, Sherbrooke.

Bottle from Ferris, thanks bud! This is a batch 5 bottle that is almost a year old. Appearance is a crisp yellow with light white head. Aroma is jam packed with citrus, white grapes, and musty funk. Taste is light funk, pepper, yeasty esters, and white wine. Finshes bone dry, with a light peppery aftertaste. This is delicious, very refreshing stuff!

PhillyCraft (7228) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 15, 2015
Bottle shared by Barry, poured cloudy gold with average head/lace. Notes of candy dryer sheet, florals, and brett earth. Spicy and a bit and Belgiany but overall a decent saison from Canada eh.

Gold pour with a good sized head. Loads of lace. Strong tropical fruit and brett aroma. Quite funky, brett, tropical fruit, spicy, barrel aging is there but subtle, which works for a brew like this. Slightly herbal. Medium bodied. Cant wait till its brewed again.

Bottle, batch 4. I’ve enjoyed several batches at different times and the ratings are consistently high. Probably one of my favourites from them.
Pours cloudy yellow with a huge white frothy head. Huge enticing aroma of peach, tangerine and biscuit. Robust flavour with oaky chardonnay notes. Quite excellent.

Bouteille 500ml. Couleur jaune très pâle translucide, mousse blanc cassé à grosse bulle. Arôme citronné, Brett, côté vin blanc, malt craquant, levure, cuir neuf. Goût de malt, levure, sèche, boisé, Brett fin de bouche. Carbonatation moyenne-élevée, corps moyen-faible.

jinroh (1597) - ESTONIA - DEC 30, 2014
Light, hazy golden, rather white. Thin foam layer. Aroma is light, farm ale. Yeasty and with some small citrus. Taste is bitter’ish saison, soft at the same time. Nice and complex.
