Draught at the brewpub
Hazy blond color. Delicate aroma, spicy, with a light herbal and musky character. Smooth and dry mouthfeel; spicy, good yeast activity, with a hint of coriander and sage; relatively strong bitterness; the final has a grassy trace.
Positively aggressive.

Golden and slightly hazy. Lots of coriander in the nose, along with orange and a hint of footy yeastiness. Complex, w lots of yeasty character and again a big coriander finish. Light melon fruitiness late. Good saison, just refreshing enough.

A lightly hazed golden saison with a thin lacing off white head. In aroma, a smooth sweet malt with catty hops, incense, nice spices, very nice. In mouth, a nice spiced up saison with nice bittering herbs, fruity esters, nicely balanced. On tap at brewery, June 24 2012.

Enjoyed on tap at the brewpub. Vey much in the style although not exceptional, I enjoyed the corriander punch. Pale yellow and lots of lace. Mild funk and lots of leather in the aroma. Smooth mouthfeel. Yeasty, easy drinking.

2012-04-01.Lightly hazy golden body with a nice foamy white head. 3+ Dry aroma, light peppery spice and mild yeast. 7+ Flavour is similar, fairly dry overall, sweeter pale malt middle, light peppery spice lingers in the finish. Smooth average plus bodied palate. Relatively simple saison, it has slightly more pale malt than some, but this is pretty close to being textbook. Lovely example of the style. On tap at Bellwoods, Toronto

Tap at Bar Volo. Very pale straw-coloured pour with a thick moussey white head. The nose is very spicy. Lots of fresh minerally character and some fairly yeasty spice. A little bit of white pepper and a touch of mentthol. There is an odd sort of vegetal/fishy flavour that I wasnt quite banking on. I cant decide if it’s hot side oxidation or something else strange. On the nose it has a really interesting lightness that is quote appealing but I can’t quite get past the strange flavour. It’s not bad by a longshot and the dryness and lightness are quite nice but there’s something there that I’m just not a fan of.

[4364-20120401] Tap. Bready yeast aroma has a hint of lemon pip and light floral notes. Hazy, bright yellow orange body with a medium-lasting creamy white head and lattice lacing. Lightly bittered lemon zesty yeast flavour has a little zing finish and some dry peppery floral notes. Medium body has a light tang. Lovely bitter yeasty saison base, quite drinkable. UPDATED: OCT 13, 2012 Just had this again last night and it was awesome. Tasted a bit of the Nelson Sauvin hops and the good farmhouse yeast. I rated a little low last time. Initial Rating Date: 4/14/2012 8:27:25 AM Smells like hay then picks up with a bit of a hay-like farm taste. Also has a bit of a wheat beer-like smell. It’s got a piquant taste with a clear light colour. Retains head for a while, good carbonation. If I had to pick the season I’d say autumn because there’s a note of rotting leaves here (not in a bad way). A great job on the style. On tap at Bellwood’s

blankboy (7860) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 18, 2012
Draught at the brewpub, May 7. Pours a cloudy pale gold with a small to average size semi-lasting frothy white head. Lovely aroma is herbal, spicy and sweet along with yeast, wheat and grain. Nice flavour, very grassy and herbal along with light spices, wheat, grain, a good amount of hops and a dry, spicy, bitter finish. Average bodied. Great stuff.

Aroma slight sourness, dryness , clean cut aroma. Solid approach.7+
Appearance hazed gold with bright white mid top.3+
Flavor and Palate : Solid. Dry, not very alcoholic . Gentle mineral hints, some warmth on top with chewy textures at finish. Well brewed. It has very approachable side.
