COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This IPA features a pale malt bill, a generous dose of oats and a massive dry hop of Mosaic, Simcoe & Nelson Sauvin. Crisp body, moderate haze and big aroma. This aromatic and delicious beer is all about low bitterness and huge flavour, with notes of mandarin orange, white grape, and pine. Note: The first custom labelled release of this beer incorporates a few recipe changes, including a switch to IPA from Pale Ale.

[9268-20170614] 500mL bottle. Fragrant leafy citrus hops aroma has a pasta noodle note. Slightly hazy, golden orange body with a medium-lasting foamy white head. Bitter floral citrus hops flavour has a muted toasted leaf and pine hops note. Medium body is fairly bitter. Very tasty, easy to drink, simple and light and delightful. (7/3/8/4/16) 3.8

My Bottom Line:

Tropical fruit meet sage and lemongrass-like greenness before delving into piney hop resins.

Further Personal Perceptions:

-A sheet of foam covers the hazy whitish gold.

-The mouthfeel is quite soft.

-Fruit character is reminiscent of guava, pineapple and lemons.

-Drinkability is high.

Bottle.

Cloudy bright yellow pour. Citrusy aromas. Taste orange and pine. Very dry. Good IPA

Cloudy yellow IPA, head quickly dissipates. Aroma is an even mix of tropical fruits and dank/pungent aromas. The taste is fairly sweet, with a bit of bite from the excess carbonation. Decent beer, not the best.

Tasting at Matt’s
Cloudy blond color. Nice aroma, a bit tropical, and lightly dank. Dry mouthfeel, smooth, delicate pale malts flavor, tropical and piney hopping, overall balanced.
Refreshing, highly drinkable, excellent.

On tap - tapped a pale hazy gold with a massive bone white sticky cap. Aroma is pungent - fills the room as it warms - pine-floral-fruity with a nice undertone of biscuity malt. Super well rounded and and viscous-smooth ( the oats?) - flavor is mellow with a nice chew of grains in front that gets balanced by some low bittering pine and grape skin flavors - rich liquid finish with deep resinous flavor riding on a cereal carrier - absolutely an addictive, drinkable ale.

UPDATED: AUG 12, 2017 on tap at Abe Erb. Intoxicating dank stone fruit and citrus aroma. The taste has fruit candy sweetness with a perfect bitter balance. so good.

Bottle shared at game night by Shea. Hazy light yellow, soft white head. Lightly dank melon, grapefruit, bone dry crackery malts, assertive pithy bitter finish. Terrific.

2017-06-14. Hazy dark yellow orange body, nice off-white head fades. 3+ Aroma is pleasantly hoppy, moderately floral, fruit character that I can’t put a name to. Flavour is similar, interesting fruit character has notes of guava and citrus but neither is quite an accurate descriptor, moderate bitterness throughout, floral accents. Lingering light bitterness. Smooth average plus bodied palate, soft carbonation. Tasty. 7/4/7/3/16 Bottle from Bellwoods, Toronto.

Bottle (500 ml) at home, split 2-ways. Hazy yellow-golden with a medium white head, good retention, leaving some lacing. Aroma is fruity, citrus, herbal and mineral with peppery notes and freshly cutted grass. Taste is lean, fruity, grassy/herbal, gently peppery with mild bitterness. Medium-light body. Medium-bright carbonation. Fruity, slightly peppery and rather dry finish. One of the best hoppy beers from Bellwoods so far. Great balance, nice hops bouquet and very high drinkabiliity. Really good!
