Black color with small beige head. Fire oven bread aroma, roasted malt. Rather dry mouthfeel, less weak then expected; good roasted malt flavor, with light presence of paper and ashes in the final, mild astringency. Nice.
Nitro, dark brown, aroma is cocoa, with light citrus. A tart, slightly cocoa-ish, but refreshing. Light Irishy stout. jtclockwork (16581) - , New Jersey, USA - AUG 17, 2013
At Brewdown. Pours dark brown with tan head. Nose and taste of roast, chocolate and coffee. Nice roast. Lighter medium body. Ferris (15265) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 7, 2013
Draft - Nitro - Roast malts and coffee. Jet black and that nitro cream head. Roast malts, little bit of dark fruit and coffee. Light and rich at the same time. On nitro this is great, likely thin otherwise. Sammy (12195) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 8, 2013
On nitro at the brewpub.Sessionable beer, but I would like to get at the truer flavour on tap if not on cask. Let’s see how the bottle stacks up. In any event, a creamy roasty beer with significant chocolate.

Sampled this at Campground Brewdown 2. Pours a deep brown to black with a thin beige to tan head. Soft roast, cocoa, chocolate, faint coffee. Soft chocolate, bitter with light acidic tones. Faintly acidic, chocolate, cocoa, long roast into the finish. DuffMan (10423) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - SEP 14, 2013
Bottle, sent to me by Sammy-- thanks! Dark brown pour with a tan head that recedes rather rapidly to a light skim. Aroma is very roasty with underlying notes of chocolate and ash. The palate delivers more roast with an underlying cola-like sweetness and light cocoa. Dry short finish. A very flavourful lower ABV session stout. jercraigs (10365) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 19, 2013
2013-08-11. Black body with a small tan head. 3++ Very dry roasty aroma has coffee like touches to the roast. Flavour is fairly dry bitter roast up front, muted sweet dark malt in the middle. Average plus palate with modest carbonation. Tons of flavour for such a low abv. I suspect that the strong roast character is part of how they achieve that which is unfortunately not entirely to my own tastes. Pretty decent nonetheless. My Bottom Line:JoeMcPhee (9426) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 5, 2013
Salient fruitiness and bitter roasted malts move into an easygoing finish for a smooth pint of Stout.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A creamy head of foam covers the blackness.
-Fieldberry fruitiness fits well with the sweetened coffee flavors.
-The nitrogenated mouthfeel works well in this case.
-This may not be all that memorable, but it is expertly made.
On tap at Bar Isabel.
Deep black pour with a thick tight head. The flavour is pretty solid - a bit of cocoa and some light chocolate. A bit of tartness. Lovely.
