Bottle from solidfunk not sure how he decided to throw in this oldie to trade but thanks mate. Murky yellow orange pour. Nose is light tropical fruits some hard candy. Tastes of toffee, pineapple, grassy, sake, apricot, and jammy. Some alcohol booziness for sure and the hops are pretty mellow after all this time. Interesting

650ml bottle from the brewery in Toronto, Ontario opened in September 2012. Orange copper in colour with an off-white head, good lacing. The aroma is grassy, floral, light citrus, bready. The flavour has more citrus, some pineapple, caramel, fruity, floral. Finishes long, bitter.

Murky gold, foamy white head laces well. Lightly resinous pine nose, faint grapefruit and orange but muted overall. Lightly conflicted front, barky yet melon-sweet and watery, mid gaining sugar and orange as stickiness builds before the barky end, sugars low. Weird, conflicted nose, controlled but bland flavor.

In short: An aggressive bitter-fruity-boozy yeasty blonde ale of some kind. Good tasty beer.
How: Bottle 22oz. Consumed 6 months after bottling date. Bottle sent to me by robinrover, thanks a lot Robin.
The look: Cloudy dirty blond body topped by a medium white head.
In long: A bold nose throwing boozy fruits in my nostrils, grapefruits pineapples and bananas soaked in alcohol. Taste is fruits in a boozy mixture, mangos, bananas, oranges, white rum, pineapples, banana peels, yeast. Aggressive bitterness with an alcohol bite adding an extra punch. I might be wrong but I suspect some wheat in this monster beer. This is a bit of brutal beer, a slap in the mouth, but somehow it is also a beer that I found very easy to drink. Breweries like Bellwoods are the reason why I wish I had a dollar for every time Linda from HR told me I had to stop smelling like beer when I come in to work, because I would have $20, which is not a lot right now but Linda is a new employee who was hired one month ago.
