Tasting at Matt’sListigovers (1278) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 16, 2017
Cloudy pale blond color. Nice fruity aroma, pineapple, light banana, light tropical fruits. Lean mouthfeel, tome yogurt/milkshake feeling, pineapple juice, some pine hops; nice but not expected in a beer, weird.
The original, more IPA like than the other milksharks. A bit thinner and a bit more raw hop flavour, still lots of milky lacto goodness. Fairly light bodied and lots of citrusy pineapples. SlovakSniper (5561) - Candiac, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 20, 2017
Oakes (18543) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 4, 2017
Cloudy, pale. No head. Aroma shows nice pineapple, though just a touch, and a hint of vanilla. On the palate, there’s a weird pina colada note, though totally incongruous with a high bitterness IPA.The base beer is this yeasty, messy stuff, and the pineapple isn’t all that well-integrated. fiery1 (1587) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 4, 2017
500ml bottle @ Matt’s. Pours a cloudy yellow colour with no head. Nose is mildly reminiscent of a milkshake with a subtle sweet pineapple note. Flavour is candied pineapple, vanilla, decent sweetness, some more pineapple and then finally the hoppy bitterness kicks in. Strange that it’s quite tasty and has ample pineapple that works.

500mL bottle, sent from wilco (thanks a lot, Mike), pours a cloudy opaque blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out a nice mix of lactose and pineapple. Flavour screams out lots of pineapple upfront with subdued citrus hops and balanced with lactose sweetness. I’m not overly convinced by these milkshake IPAs and this is no exception. But it’s a fun beer at least. DerWeg (1702) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - APR 29, 2017
Butsting with tart and tropical fruit accenting the already citrusy hops, accompanied with some creaminess and acidity and resin and pepper. Quite an impressive pour from the Bellwood, this one from the bottle shop. Good stuff from them lately. A little funky hop and sour fruit in the aroma. Cloudy gold. crazy_cat_lady (678) - - APR 27, 2017
Bottle from bottle shop. Pours a cloudy opaque creamy yellow with a white head. Big aroma of pineapple, lemon, faint vanilla, and some floral notes. This is my first milkshake IPA. Dry pineapple upfront, bit of hoppy bite in the middle, some lingering pine. Not really sure I get the melted pineapple ice cream notes mentioned in the description, but still pretty good. Bottle from the brewery. The first bottle I had of this beer a couple of weeks ago left me a bit cold, but I must’ve not been in the mood for it, as tonight’s bottle knocked my socks off. Hazy and milky sunset yellow with a small white head. Fantastic aroma of pineapple and creamsicle, and not much else but that’s alright, it just smells amazing. Flavour is also dominated by pineapple, sweet orange, vanilla and cream. Finish has a nice hit of tart lemon to cut the sweetness. Body is creamy, but still crisp in the finish. Excellent example of a style that I often find more gimmicky than impressive. Alpha10 (816) - Ontario, CANADA - APR 11, 2017
2017/04/11 - Pours a hazy orange colour with a foamy off white head that quickly reduces and leaves minimal lacing. Aroma is tons of pineapple, hints of mango and orange, yogurt and light floral hops. Smells like pineapple sorbet. Taste follows nose; loads of pineapple and yogurt, tart orange and mango with floral and lightly spicy hops. Again, tastes like pineapple sorbet. Delicious. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
