650ml bottle from the brewery in Toronto, Ontario opened in November 2012. Clear blond in colour with a medium sized but long lasting white head, good lacing. The aroma is generously hoppy, herbal and grassy with some pale malts. The flavour is quite hoppy, some spice, some light fruit, white grape skins. Bitter mouthfeel, medium/light body, moderate carbonation. Finishes long and hoppy. A very nice pale ale. So drinkable, love the spice notes in this. cfrancis (3506) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 8, 2013
Thanks to jercraigs for this. Pours a cloudy slightly dark golden yellow with a moderate white frothy top. Aroma is fruity citrus, a little off aroma of stale hay. Taste is fruity bitterness with wheat. Low on the flavours, calypso is better as a bittering hop but this is still tasty. HogTownHarry (7062) - Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, CANADA - JAN 2, 2013
November 20, 2012 - on draught at the brewpub. Slightly hazy gold with an average frothy tightly foamy off-white head. Smells great - juicy, light resin, plenty of citrus/citrus zest character. Taste is way more floral than anything, an odd iron bite to the malt, surprisingly very grainy - plenty of cereal, it actually detracts from the bitterness a fair bit: not much alcohol, but it’s detectable. Solid body, a bit chewy and astringent, good airy carbonation, a decently long eventually palate-coating moderately grapefruit pith bitter finish. I must say I liked it less as it warmed up, which was odd. mabel (9246) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 31, 2012

Hazy golden pour, big frothy white head. Light citrus, light pine, and alot of grass. Quite acidic, even vinous. The calypso is an odd hop. Light bready malts, and some solid cereals. Dry, medium bitter finish.

Draught at the brewpub. Nov. 20. Pours a cloudy golden-orange with a small frothy white head. Some lacing. Mild aroma of tropical fruit, canned peas, hops and pale malt. Flavour has a good amount of hops, a bit spicy, fruity, a touch resiny, along with some grain and a hint of alcohol. Dry, bitter finish. Medium bodied. Pretty good, I didn’t love it but I did like it. TimE (5997) - Tokyo, JAPAN - DEC 16, 2012

Aroma: medium potency of Calypso hop character. Clean , straight approach with clean good golden malt base. Fresh floral feel. 8-.
Look: fine haze on golden base with lighter white top.
Taste/palate: well rounded hop profile exceptionally well presented. Soft texture below with welcoming golden malts. Smart brewing. Knowledge of play between sugars and hops is apparent. Splendid !
