October 11, 2013 - at Bar Hop - on draught. Cloudy and bubbly amber-gold with a decent white head. Aroma is mostly citrus/citrus zest with lime and sharpness from the Nelson-like hop bitterness. Taste all the above, but more lime - some earthiness to the bitterness, with more assertive alcohol presence than the aroma. Solid body and carbonation, astringent, finishes medium with emerging citrus zest and that odd earthy thing - solid, solid as always.

500ml bottle. Orange-yellow in colour with a thin but long lasting white head, excellent lacing. The aroma is floral, some pineapple, oranges, some spice. The flavour has some tropical fruits, lots of pineapple, oranges, some spice, moderate sweetness with some white sugar. Sweet mouthfeel, medium body, moderate carbonation. Finishes long, with citrus and tropical fruit sweetness. Very nice, the tropical fruits in this is quite good.

[6121-20140117] Bottle. Mild yeasty floral floury flatulence aroma. Hazy, pale orange brown body with a quick foamy white head. Light bitter floral flavour has an astringent bite. Medium body. Interesting. (7/3/7/4/15) 3.6

2014-01-17. Hazy pastel orange body with a small white head. 3+ Aroma is moderately hoppy, interesting hop profile, lightly floral, grassy and something I can’t place. Flavour is moderately bitter, interesting grassy notes, tropical fruit, mango/guava. Smooth average to medium bodied palate, soft carbonation. Enjoyable and quite drinkable. Adding +1 overall because it is enjoyable but I suspect the hops have lost just a touch of their oomph lingering in my cellar for a few months. Bottle from the brewery, Toronto

Bottle, shared with Kendra, Colin, Mabel, and Jerc . Hazy yellow, foamy head , looks good . Slightly spicy hop, floral, soft, pleasant . Soft floral taste, slightly sweet , a bit of spice . Just a tad stale - bottle is a few months old . Really nice easy to drinks single hop ipa.

Not the most remarkable of the single hop series. Pours cloudy blonde. Not a whole lot going on here. A little piney but the hops presence isn’t huge. Maybe the weakest hops variety I’ve had - not familiar with it but won’t be chasing it down again soon. Some very light citrus, and light palate. Some malt. Tap at brewpub.

Draught at Bar Hop. Pours a cloudy gold with an average size diminishing frothy off-white head. Lovely aroma of hops, catty and fruity. Nice hoppy flavour, also catty, a bit spicy and with a good amount of fruit. Moderate bitter finish. Medium bodied. A pleasure to drink.

Draught at the brewpub. With most of the Monogamy series, I’ve had some familiarity with the hop used before trying the beer - some moreso than others - but this is the first one where I knew pretty much nothing about the hop, which meant that I had no idea what aroma and flavour profile I should be expecting. It ended up being one of the better ones in the series - really nice tropical fruit notes along with a bit of citrus - but not typical citrus, something more exotic like pomelo or yuzu - and a slight muskiness. Very nice!

On tap at he brewpub. Looks like juice, with lace. Understated hopiness, bitter in the finish. A little musty/funky aroma. A pint yields fruity juicy hops. Smooth.

On tap at Bellwoods. Pours a translucent Orange/yellow with a white head that clings to the glass very well.Aroma is very slightly acidic with hints of orange, lemon, and earthy pepper/spice. Taste is bitter with an earthy, funky, bitter aftertaste. No trace of alcohol.Medium body and carbonation. Slightly slick in the mouth but still crisp. A bit frothy as well.Overall interesting. Never had anything like it and well worth a try. Not sure if I would order it over Roman Candle or Witchshark but still tasty and refreshing.
