3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pine, hint of onion in the aroma. Very hazy yellow, with long lasting head. Taste is a bit surprising given the nose, the oniony flavors really come through here upfront, a bit of sweet malt and a bit of booze and a very dry finish with some mild hop bitterness. Not much in the way of tropical fruits here. A bit harsher and less refreshing than the other monogamys coming out of Bellwoods, but still quite interesting. Medium carbonation and light body.
Tap at the brewpub. Pine resin forward hop aromas. Medium bitterness. A nice hop to showcase, leans more towards the pine hop spectrum. Quite nice. dresden (1581) - Saskatchewan, CANADA - MAY 17, 2016
Murky golden, a bit towards brown. Melon and citrus aroma. Resiny and slightly sticky. Good stuff. Listigovers (1264) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 16, 2016
I admit I’m a bit biased to the simcoe hop, very nice resiny pale ale, stronger bitterness than most of the monogamy, close to IPA very nice. Hammy78 (974) - Dundas, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 15, 2016
Bottle. Pours a clear gold/ copper, fluffy white head, rings of lace. Nose is sweet biscuity, lots of fruit. Tastes sweet, a little bitter, very bready, lots of fruit. Pretty decent. mathieuc (4000) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 4, 2016
Bottle from dabeerbuddah @ BA, thanks S.! Pours a what would be fairly clear golden but it is loaded with floating particles. On top sits a somewhat thin white head that leaves good lacing. Nose is of tropical fruits and sugar. Some resin as well. Taste is of juicy fruits as well and moderately bitter with a good malt backbone. Body is light to medium and carbonation a touch over ’medium’. Overall a really enjoyable neo pale ale, I would certainly pick it up again if I could! Nice use of the Simcoe!

Draft. This has a nice aroma but the beer itself its pretty bland and meh. It is just kind of absent. Medium bitterness in the finish. TheJester (2542) - Cavan Monaghan, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 27, 2015
500 mL bottle at Buster Rhinos in Oshawa. Gold, not much head. Everything about this beer is kinda soft and gentle. But damn tasty. Citrus: grapefruit with sugar, tangerine, orange peel. Similar to Amarillo, but with a little pimeapple added. ncube (116) - - FEB 13, 2015
Great hop aroma right out of the bottle. Yellow colour, white head. Just enough bready backbone to hold up the hops and present them well. Very well done for what they are trying to do. sudomorph (1175) - Barrie, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 7, 2015
Draft at Bellwoods. Pours a nearly clear golden yellow with a one finger, white head that stick. Aroma has soft notes of citrus, pine, resin, bread, and grass. Taste is balanced. Bready biscuit with some herbal grass, citrus, pine, resin, and a slight hop spice. Medium body and carbonation. Mildly resiny in the mouth with a dry finish. Overall a really nice, easy drinking beer. Soft resin, pine, and citrus notes over top of a nice bready/biscuit/grass backbone. neuromatt (1225) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 6, 2015
500 mL bottle courtesy of Chris, served in a stem glass. Pours hazy straw with a small white head that fades to a thin cover and leaves trace lace. The nose has huge catty Simcoe with big pineapple, mango and softer resin and pale malts. The flavour is mildly sweet with honey, bread and pale malts, along with a subtle tropical fruity hoppiness. The finish is medium in length and softly hoppy with tropical fruit. On the palate it is light-medium in body with a dry texture and soft carbonation. Overall, a little disappointing but the nose is truly amazing. It would be nice to have a bit more body and attention to the malts, i.e. this would work better as an IPA. 2015-02-05
