650ml bottle from the brewery in Toronto, Ontario. Cloudy orange-brown in colour with a thin quickly dissipating off-white head, light lacing. The aroma is red berries, some toffee, bready malts, cherries, some yeast. The flavour is lightly sour and acidic, some cherry tartness, bready malts with a bit of caramel as well. Thin lightly watery mouthfeel, light body, mild carbonation. Finishes quick, lightly acidic. Not the sour beer I was expecting. Very subtle. Maybe better on tap? Was this batch off from others? Need to try this again.

Where and how: on tap at Volo
Aromasweet, sugary, malty. Mellow soft phenolic backing. Ending with soft wheat notes, touches of raspberry.
Appearance :
Top: lighter
Base: murky, hazed brown.
Palate : lighter bodied.
Taste: Interesting. Brown malts, sweet walls with sweeter top. Behind darker malt character with nutty finish. Mild sourness.

Lovely cherry colour sour nose. Refreshing, bright tartness. Spritzy lemon. Some caramel and cherry. Different and interesting.

Bottle. Nose or orange, lemon, chocolate, crap. Thin-looking brownish-red. Flavor is milky, funky, with caramel, chocolate, lactic but with low sourness, just a light lemony tang. Refreshing and strange. The dark malt and sour combo make a weird but interesting marriage.

Bottle at tasting. Thanks Tim. Clear red brown colour, small golden bubbly head. Aroma bit faint, sugary, bit fruity, little bit of stink. Taste sweet and sour oud bruin like. Bit sparkly. Nice and weird. Nice sourness.

Dark brown color, dark cherries, raspberries with the smell of wood after rain. The body is very light with lemon, wood, caramel malt, light and refreshing. Totally different than any other beer I’ve tried. Very enjoyable. Mildly tart with lingering woody finish. Unique and interesting. Great.

November 20, 2012 - on draught at the brewpub. Slightly hazy ruby with a smallish foamy off-white head. Aroma is dry oak, a hint of vinegar, dried wildflowers - dusty dry; hint of lemon. Taste - ooh - nutty, creamy, lemony - weirdly lactic, but not cheesy or offensive in any way - not much alcohol either; pleasant. Airy mouthfeel, light, sticky, hint of oak, somewhat acidic and dry - good, dry, but needs just a little more .... kick.
