Where and how: on tap at Volo
Aroma soft malts with dry hop notes. Smart blend of citrus herbal dryness with softer rounded malt bottom. 8-
Appearance :
Top: medium sized white top, some lace
Base: hazed amber.
Palate : mellow, semi dry, nice texture.
Taste: frontal hint of clove, hinted honey, meadow herbal dryness with mild gentle tartness to it. Feel of Belgian pale ale in the mid.
Other notes solid, well brewed !

Bottle (650 ml). Thanks to johnsense for this one! Cloudy orange-copper with a medium creamy white head, good retention and nice lacing. Aroma is spicy with citrus and floral/herbal notes. Taste is herbal with spices, malt and a good hoppy/peppery finish. Medium body. Dry. Good balance and good drinkability. Refreshing. Really interesting Saison. Nothing stands out, but it’s a nice product overall.

Foggy blond-gold look with silky white head. Aromas of fresh hops, pleasant spices and pale fruits, brettanomyces earth. Taste of funky brett, solid dry palate infused with a little sweet fruit, miles of dryness on the controlled finish. Spice and apple fruit. Grass and lemon. A gorgeous beer.

Draught at Volo. Jan 9. Pours a cloudy orange-copper with a small lasting frothy white head. Mild aroma of lightly tart fruit, floral notes, herbs and yeast -- nice and pleasant. Herbal and fruity flavor along with yeast and light hops. Average to medium bodied. A lovely and easy to drink Saison.

UPDATED: JAN 8, 2013 From 750 ml bottle. Pours light golden with slight white head. Aroma is strong with grassy hops and a little bit of citrus. Taste is mild with strong soapy finish.

[4984-20121202] Cask. Floral resiny hops aroma. Hazy, light orange brown body with a quick bubbly head. Bitter resin and floral grass hops flavour. Medium body. Good, interesting to sample. (7/3-/7/3/14) 3.4

2012-12-02. Lightly hazy, golden orange, small off-white head. 3+ Interesting aroma, hoppy, sort of floral but in more of a leafy vegetation sense rather than actual flowers. 7+ Flavour is similar, interesting floral/fruit character to the hops, good amount of bitterness throughout that grows in the aftertaste. Modest citrus undercurrents comes in wavers. 7+ Average plus palate, soft carbonation. Okay. Very interesting but I don’t necessarily want more. Cask at Victory Cafe, Toronto

Bottle from brewery. Pours mostly clear and pale gold. Aroma of lots of herbs, honey, and some alcohol. Taste is extremely herbal, with honey, grassy hops, and a slight bitter finish. Has a delicate malty sweetness that I’ve come to associate with Bellwoods’s pale ales. Thin body, good carbonation. I enjoyed this.
