March 25, 2014 - at Bar Hop, on draught. Hazy yellow-gold with a creamy tight beige head (4-). Sweet fruity aroma, very floral - lightly grassy; VERY sweet, really. Taste follows, candy sweetness, oddly milky. Airy, mild carbonation, medium finish - building grassiness which pretty much kills the tripel character; so odd - it starts way way too sweet, then finishes too bitter.

Enjoyed on draft at the Brother Beer Bistro. Pours a hazy golden colour with an off-white head, decent retention and lacing. Fruity malt nose with peach, bananas and apple notes. The yeast also adds to the fruitiness. Same for the taste but with a little grass in the finish. Hints of apricots. Refreshing triple with mild tart. A nice fruity strong ale well representing the style with good yeast.

500ml bottle. Gusher. Cloudy burnt orange with a thick foamy white head. Flavors are dough, dried fruits, apricot, candied orange zest, light funk and alcohol with herbal and spicy notes. Medium body, good carbonation, oily texture.

[bottle--thanks, Sarah!] Zesty citrus and slightly peppery phenolic aroma with some celery and sweet pilsner malt. Slightly hazy yellow-amber under a lasting, white sheet and lace. Flavour is a balance of sweet base malt, zesty lemon-lime, celery, and peppery phenolics. Low to moderate bitterness. Medium light body, medium carbonation, smooth.

500 mL bottle at Ashburnham Ale House. A touch on the dark side relative to most tripels, and surprisingly lacking in head retention. Mild aroma has a bit of yeast, a bit of fruit. The taste is not bad, but not terribly impressive either. It doesn’t have the fruitiness I expect in a tripel, and it could finish drier. They do stouts and IPAs so well I can forgive them for an average tripel.

Pours a little darker than I would expect for a tripel. Smells spicy and yeasty, flavour misses the mark a bit, tastes a bit heavier on the malt side and while it’s yeasty is not very spicy or herbal. I found the finish to be a bit hot.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy orange copper, half finger of lumpy fluffy white head, some spots of lace. Nose is sweet, peach, apricot, yeasty. Tastes a bit spicy, tart, bitter. Really quite nice.

Alpha10 (758) - Ontario, CANADA - MAR 10, 2015
2016/03/10 - Pours a hazy, orange-straw colour with a foamy, off white head that slowly reduces and leaves moderate lacing. Aroma is dough, yeast, spices, stone fruit (peaches and apricots) and honey. Really nice aroma. Taste is yeast, clove, cardamom, peach, apricot, honey and light herbal hops. Mouthfeel is medium with average carbonation and a herbal, drying finish. ABV is nicely hidden. Aroma is awesome, but I found the flavour slightly dull. Still, a good brew. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
