COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
When we found ourselves with a fair amount of passionfruit puree left over after our blend of 2017 Motley Cru (a wild ale with passionfruit) we did what any self-respecting person would do - brew a massively dry-hopped double IPA and condition it on the remaining fruit.

Pours a look of mango nectar, nice! Tastes like a bit of spicy hops with a very very bright bursting flavour, grapefruit, orange, tangy as you can get. Very fun beer!

[9464-20170722] 500mL bottle. Squash orange fruit aroma. Murky, light orange body with a quick bubbly head. Fruity tropical mango apricot flavour. Medium body is quite bitter. Very tasty. (9/3/9/4/16) 4.1

Bottle from the bottle shop. Pours like juice: light orange with basically no head. Big aroma of passionfruit, some lemon and pine notes. Quite tart passionfruit flavour, with a sticky resinous finish.

2017-07-22. Murky orange body, modest quick white head. Aroma of passionfruit and green hops, light citrus. 7+ Flavour is moderately bitter throughout, lightly tart passionfruit and citrus. Almost guava like notes. Gets fairly astringent in finish as you go, to its detriment. 7+ Average bodied palate, moderate carbonation. Decent, muddled but tasty. 7/3/7/3/15+ Bottle shared by mds.

Aroma is a shitload of passionfruit together with grapefruit and a very tart aura. Taste absolutely exploding of said fruit. So much it’s almost sour. Sharp and tart. The 8% body almost makes it a little chewy and thick as well. As the tastebuds calibrate themselves, you get a long lingering bitterness and a fat IPA feel to it. Great stuff!

Bouteille 500ml, gracieuseté de msjpearson, Thanks Mike! Couleur jus d’orange opaque, mousse beige pâle fugace. Arôme de fruits de la passion, côté sauvage, poussiéreux, cannabis, malt. Goût de fruits de la passion, malt, houblon résineux, amertume moyenne-élevée, acidité moyenne-faible, aucune trace de l’alcool. Carbonatation moyenne-faible, corps dense.

Wow. Great beer. Tropical fruit aroma (Passionfruit of course, but what do I know of passion? Tart on the tongue, like unsweetened grapefruit juice. The flavour just dances on your tongue. Tart and delicious and you don’t even taste the alcohol.

500 ml bottle from Hafis Road bottle shop. Pours a very murky honey colour with small white head. Aroma is bursting with passionfruit, fairly tart, with some grapefruit character too. Flavour has big, quite tart passionfruit with some grapefruit zest. Lingering sourness in the finish. Quite different and quite good.

Hazy orange pour, larger head, fairly murky. Huge passionfruit up front in the aroma and taste, fairly tart, lingering bitterness. Medium body. Quite different than what I was initially expecting. Now to score a couple more.
