COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Weft & Warp is a strong, Berliner weisse-style ale that was kettle soured and aged in chardonnay barrels. The beers acidity blends beautifully with aromatics from the chardonnay barrels. Best enjoyed fresh. (A counterpart to Warp & Weft, a tequila barrel-aged version of the same beer.)

500 ml bottle (2017) from Hafis Road bottle shop. Pours a hazed golden peach colour with quickly disappearing white head. Aroma is full of tart fruit, vinous character, funk and hints of woodiness. Flavour is puckeringly sour with lemon, sour apple, chardonnay, Brett funkiness and a light oaky note. Lighter carbonation. Good one.

Correct.

Bottle: Pours unclear golden orange with a fizzy white head that poofs away quickly leaving sparkling carbonation. Aroma of lemon, tart green apple, oak, some funk - chardonnay characteristics very prominent. Taste is very nice sourness, oakiness, a little bit of funk. Light on the front with a creamy light bitter/dry lingering finish on the back of the palate. Overall: Was wondering whether the chardonnay would come through and it definitely did, tasty.

Bottle from brewery. Not dated. Uninspiring in the glass. Looks like ginger ale. Thankfully it doesnt taste like pop. Expressive take on the style. Squeezed lemon, Chardonnay, salt water. Almost pitch perfect on the tartness. Good lesson on use of the barrel to enhance but not overwhelm the beer. Fine work. Recommended.

[6157-20140131] Bottle. Dry pungent apple wood aroma. Clear, pale yellow body with no lasting head. Bitter apple cider and dry white wine barrel notes in the flavour. Medium body puckers up. Delicious. (7/3/8/4/16) 3.8

Bottle. Pale blond pour with white head. Aroma is lactic, lots of yogurt, light white wine and orange. Taste is also very lactic, some citrus and oak. There is slightly more body and carbonation than the average berliner. Well done.

500ml bottle from the brewery in Toronto, Ontario. Clear golden in colour with a small and dissipating white head, little lacing. The aroma is of grapes, some lemons, wood, lactose. The flavour is woody, lots of grape skins, light lemon citrus, lightly tart and acidic. Tart mouthfeel, medium/light body, medium carbonation. Finishes dry, tart. A very good Berliner. Lots going on in this.
