Gravity cask at the Battersea Beer Festival, 8th Feb 2008. Very clear amber appearance. Great aroma of flowers and apples which leads into a taste of honey and herbs. Very smooth on the tongue too. This is a fantastic light beer. DJMonarch (9179) - Northwich, Cheshire, ENGLAND - DEC 21, 2005

UPDATED: DEC 15, 2010 Cask handpull, The Slug and Lettuce, Leicester. Honey amber, slim lacing slick. Very discreet, resiny aroma of pine needles, evergreen, orange. Full honeyed mouthfeel, cashew malt, spicy and delicately resinous hop like licking aniseed-infused pine sap off a piece of flatpack furniture. Probably. Hugely drinkable and subtly flavour-packed. Everything a BB should be. jbrus (4990) - Delft, NETHERLANDS - OCT 12, 2007

Malty and raisin aroma. Light brown color, off-white head, good lace. Sweet, malty, nice hop bitterness, hints of raisin and herbs. Flavorful, nice balance.
Cask Transparant, but decent fluffy head, over foxy-amber beer. Bit of caramel, UK hops, dry hop sacks, old hessian. Nutty & caramel flavour, but light & relieved by some good aroma hops added. A bit light for a Best Bitter. Quite some slickness, even sticky, caramel ending. Light bodied, but nice, invitingly tasting bitter.

Cask at the Raglan Arms, Rugby - 19/09/12. Badged as Belvoir Best.
Clear golden with a decent white head - really looks the part for a cask bitter!
Very muted nose, really little to say other than a little malt.
Taste is a big improvement on the nose with toasted malts, caramel, hops amd a little smokiness.
Medium bodied, smooth and creamy, nice feel to this bitter. haddonsman (1234) - Derby, Derbyshire, ENGLAND - AUG 23, 2005
Cask conditioned and handpulled at Wetherspoons (JDW) Paradise Square, Birmingham. Well balanced bitter, clear brown with rocky head, lingering fruitiness and decent bitter bite. edsspoon (894) - Nottinghamshire, ENGLAND - MAR 18, 2015
Cask - amber with a thin beige head. Aroma of malts, light grass, a little lemon and some peach. Taste of light roasted malts, floral hops, grass and earth. Light body. leaparsons (10541) - Wigston, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - OCT 27, 2004
Melton Mowbray Fest 04. Copper and amber in colour. Aromas are berry fruit, spice and toffee. Flavours are fruity toffee malts with a really pretty dry, hoppy finish. Simple, but moreish. RichardGretton (4770) - Leicestershire, ENGLAND - NOV 30, 2005
Bottle. Amber beer with a frothy head and a slighlty fruity and dry aroma. The flavour is quite basically dry. Overall a nice beer.
