2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Just a boozy gimmick, as expected. Reminds me if the hot sauce trend of the 90's where heat trumped flavor...same goes for this abomination.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle courtesy of Deanso. Poured a clear medium amber with a thin whispy white head. The aroma is toffee caramel malt, light alcohol. The flavour is moderate to strong sweet with a rich, oily, alcoholic liqourice bitter palate. Medium to full bodied with flat carbonation. Where can I get a case of this? Only joking :-)

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Floating shit inside my glass. Light boozy apples aroma. Sweet light body, not bad. A bit bland, but it is after its best before date by a few months. Warming cognac flavors. For the abv it’s drinkable. Simple beer, nothing out of this world, but cool nonetheless.

1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20
Son seul intérêt "commercial" est son taux d’alcool de 13° sur une bière. L’alcool trop prend le dessus.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle from Mam and Dad’s holiday France and Lloret de Mar. Bright golden coloured with a thin white head. It has a tart spicy pineapple and toffee flavour with a citrus and spicy finish. Hides the super strong alcohol very well.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Mild bread and citrus aroma. Burnt golden hazy body. Topped with a thin white head. Sweet smooth bread taste. Warms the palate just a little going down is the only hint of the strength of this brew. Clean sweet finish.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
From a bottle brought back from Oregon. Pours a clear straw color. Nose is bready, maybe a touch malty. The 13% alcohol is well hidden, but this is just an okay beer.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle, shared by me... in my dining room... just now.
This bottle is dated September 28 2009. I don’t know if that’s a best by or a bottled on date, don’t remember really when I got this, suffice to say I’ve had it for a while. I’m leaning towards this being six years old as opposed to 11.
Pours a deep orange color (despite the ’blond’ designation on the label). The beer has a small but well retained head that leaves a decent lacing on the glass.
Honestly, this doesn’t smell bad, or at least it’s exceeded any expectations I had for it. Yes, it has some light wet cardboard and sherry like oxidive notes, so we’ll get that out of the way straight off. Beyond that it has a reasonably enjoyable toffee and cherry liqueur character. It’s got some red apple & some mild honey notes. The alcohol is reasonably muted for a beer of this strength.
The flavor is pretty darn sweet and boozy. It’s got the classic toffee on cherry cordial thing happening, but it’s also got cotton candy, pear, and some light toasty malt. It’s hard to get over the bit alcohol presence here, it’s intruding well beyond a pleasant warming affect and it seems to be the primary flavor lingering in the finish.
Better than I expected it to be, age seems to have done this fairly well.
