Draft @ brewpub; dark brown with thin tan head and minor lacing; nutty aromas of sweet malt and big fruity hop kick; smooth, soft texture and light bodied; decent overall and very sweet; candy malts with a big time bitter punch at the end; a little harsh, but tasty anders37 (26824) - Malmö, SWEDEN - DEC 27, 2008
Draft @ the brewpub. Pours a reddish color with a small off-white head. Has a malty hoppy grapefruit aroma. Sweetish malty hoppy bitter grapefruit flavor. Has a sweetish malty hoppy bitter finish with a slightly bitter aftertaste. cathcacr (647) - Oregon, USA - AUG 3, 2008
On draft at Belmont Station. Perfect appearance, an unfiltered dark amber with ample head. On the taste end, it’s missing that crisp, tingly hoppy bite you’d expect for a beer like this. It ends up somewhat flat even if flavorful. 19Ei8hty (1166) - Washington, USA - JUL 23, 2008
on-tap, Bend Brewing - Had on both regular and Nitro tap - Looked great, deep amber hue with a big white head (on the nitro) - Sharp hop presence, very ’fresh hop’ essence, piney with moderate grapefruit. Rich caramel malt backbone - preferred the nitro, fuller mouthfeel and really softened the astringency of the hops. carboloader (674) - Houston, Texas, USA - JUL 13, 2008
On tap at the Bend pub. Pours amber with tan head. Decently hoppy and bitter. Malt sweetness and a little citrus, but seems watery with a smooth finish. Not bad at all.

On tap at Bailey’s Taproom in Portland, OR--Definitely looked like an amber ale with a small whitish head. Hoppy grapefruit and caramel hops nose. Very nice for the most part, but a little watery in the finish. ABUSEDGOAT (2783) - California, USA - JUL 5, 2008
Reddish amber color. Aroma is crystal malt, grapefruit, caramel. Medium bodied, moderate bitterness and sweetness. Decent amber. beerinmarch (2830) - Washington, USA - JUL 1, 2008
On tap at the PDX Green Dragon. Pours murky red/copper with a faint beige head. Flavor was hops driven, citrus with a pithy grapefruit finish. The beer tasted kinda murky also, not sure how to describe it, but green hops, yeast, sort of like a stirred up keg (maybe could be the case). None of this really came together well, not a bad beer by any means, but just mixed up a bit. IlanMan (1015) - Appleton, Wisconsin, USA - MAY 17, 2008
Pour was light golden with white fluffy head. Aroma of citrus and light fruit. Flavor was the same. Decent brew. May buy again. jake65 (3978) - Meridian, Idaho, USA - MAY 22, 2007
Draft at the Brewpub: Rusty brown pour with a moderate beige head. Nose is mild and of malt, caramel, and has an overt sweetness. The taste is more malty, some rye, earth tones, and citrus. It was on nitro; very smooth. I think this may boost my feelings on this one.
