In short: A smooth and very fruity blonde IPA. pdx77 (1483) - Oregon, USA - APR 6, 2014
How: Bottle 22oz, consumed fresh soon after receiving it from mcberko, thanks a lot Matt.
The look: Cloudy glowing blonde body topped by a small white head.
In long: The hoppy nose is mostly fruity-tropical with also floral notes. In mouth the beer has a doughy texture and with a lively carbonation, kind of a belgian-like mouthfeel. Taste is rather smooth for the style and size of the beer. Soft white bread, very juicy pale color fruits of all kinds, flower petals. A bit sweet but the sweetness is very sweet fresh fruits so at the end I really didn’t mind the sweetness. Bitterness intensity is relatively low for the style which makes the small alcohol bite more apparent. An enjoyable offering. This is not a Double IPA for the bitterness and intensity lover, this is not an intense beer, smooth and round, both refreshing and nourishing at the same time. Two things USA are great at, brewing IPAs and playing baseball, USA makes the best IPAs in the word and they have won each and every baseball World Series.
On draught at Tin Bucket. Slightly hazy yellowish golden color. Aroma is sweet tropical fruit and pine. Taste is caramel, guava, mango, pine, and grapefruit. Sweet, resinous palate with a pleasing dose of bitterness in the finish. Salmoniform (1272) - Sweet Home, Oregon, USA - JAN 3, 2014
Poured from bottle to glass. Straw hue with fizzy white head that dissipated quickly. Aroma of sugar, citrus, melon, strawberry, pine. Mouthfeel is nice with medium body and moderate carbonation. Taste is sweet initially with a nice hop bitterness following and sweet dry finish with a CO2 bite. Overall this is really nice I2PA that is in no way overly bitter but instead has a great hop essence. bhensonb (15191) - Woodland, California, USA - SEP 18, 2013
Bomber from Belmont Station. Pours translucent gold with a creamy white head. Aroma has lots of fruit, and a little pine/citrus. Full bodied. Instant hop burn beginning. Flavor is fruit, citrus, gets some caramel, then goes fairly earthy. And then resin/pine pops up. It’s quite fruity, has fair amount of caramel, and is bitter indeed, tho not bitingly so. Amazing good ale. douglas88 (9178) - Portland, Oregon, USA - AUG 29, 2013
Bomber. Bend is one of the hot breweries in PDX it seems. Pours a clear copper color with a large white head. A nice nose of caramel, resin, lemon. The flavor is certainly good: big resinous fruity sweet hops, balanced with biscuit and honey malt. Lingering big bitterness. Damn nice IIPA. Big bitter and orange finish.

Draught at the Bend Brewing Co. in Bend, OR. Big citrus/pine mix in the nose, with some sweetness behind that. Dark streaky blonde. Massive hop hit in initial / fizzy mid with some balance and continuing orange/grapefruit notes / finish grooves the tongue with bitterness. Heavy body. Good stuff. Gets a bit sticky, near cloying in finish -- but overall this was the best (out of ten beers) I had at the brewery restaurant. chriso (7533) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 25, 2013
