22 fl oz bottle. Pours cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma is grapefruity and light peachy. Bitter, grapefruity and citrusy. Peachy and crisp hoppy into a smooth fruity finish.

Pours a sunny gold with not much white head. Juicy aroma of oranges, grapefruit, lime. This is my kind of double - lots of tropical fruits, citrus, malt balance and a great hop profile. The alcohol is slightly noticeable on the finish along with a citrusy hop bite.

Light, cloudy orange appearance. Head hangs around with a fair amount of lace. Aroma is strong. Honey, hops, and sugar. Mouth is pretty light. Taste is very bitter but has a strange wheat like finish. This beer is close to being super tasty, but it could use a few tweaks.

Tap. Golden with white foamy head. Smells like citrus, pepper, and rubber..Flavor follows. Tea like.

Delicious. This one works really well. The nose is floral hops, grassy resins, slight malt at the back end. Well balanced hops take over but its awesome, they got the recipe just right

Sometimes a beer just hits you right. floral crush of hops, some citrus, some resin, full spectrum, with some peach-honey on the edge, and the beer this comes out of is lighter than I’d expect, yellow beginning to orange. thin white head. light and smooth in the mouth but definite. an unsweet malt heaviness behind the flavor, hops more of the resin side, sharp hop edge but well-balanced.definite warming. balanced finish.

Bottle. Amber with fair head. Aroma is hop and malt and not extreme. Flavour has noticeable ABV level, strong hops and good malt base. Not spectacular enough to make me think Imperial is a good thing. I am trending back to big hops, balanced malt and session able ABV levels.

Matts_Property (837) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - APR 14, 2012
Pours clear golden yellow/brass. Aroma of resinous hops, herbal notes, pine, orange peel, and caramel malts. Flavour the same. Nice, full bodied, well balanced.

This beer has changed over time. The old Hop Head was a cloudy, citrus flavored Imperial IPA. Now appears filtered and more of a resin like IPA. Too bad. This was a local favorite when available. The alcohol was masked in earlier version now dominates the palate. Tawnya the brewer has left...things change. But...if you are in town....it still is worth the price on Tuesday locals night!

Bomber served in a tulip. Pours dark orange with a slight haze, medium-sized head of good retention and bubbly lacing. Sofft aromas of orange, pine, grass, light malt, and earthy spice. Also some cotton candy and big-time floral notes as it warms. Medium sweet, mild bitter flavor. Balanced but the bitterness grows. Medium body, heavy texture, low carbonation, and a balanced finish.
