22 oz. bottle shared by my nephew on a recent trip to Denver - Thanks Andy!! Beautiful pour that shows a large off white head and an orange/yellow body. Nice citrus rind aroma that is not overstated, and blends well with some lighter fruity aromas and hints of toffee. Very clean palate, deliciously smooth with a medium body. What really struck me about this beer was the balance. Solid, light malty backbone holds up well to the predominately citrus rind bitterness. Very nice all the way around. Too bad the distribution is so limited, but at least the folks in Bend have got a winner with this.
Hazy amber with a white head. Aroma is peach, grapefruit, citrus, pine, caramel. Medium bodied, high big bitterness. Lives up to its name. luttonm (6979) - Seattle, Washington, USA - AUG 15, 2017
Bend Beer Co, Bend. Thin bubbly cream head, old school hop hazed dark orange body. Big bitter orange hop nose, not so fresh. Crisp and snappy sip, nice hop body. Rough citrus flavors, hazy. Chewy. This is really nice. Slight veggie note at end. Quite nice. ricke49 (104) - La Pine, Oregon, USA - JUL 29, 2017
One of the better balanced DIPAs - the malt actually has a nice presence. A bit lighter in color than expected- and less ’oily’. What you get is a very enjoyable high ABV IPA for a decent price. Cheers! To Bend Brewing!! stevoj (5880) - Boise, Idaho, USA - APR 27, 2017
UPDATED: AUG 13, 2017 Draft at brewery. Mild haze, bright orange/golden with ring of head, streaky lacing. Grapefruit citrus aroma, not as strong as you would think. Taste kicks it up a notch, almost juicy. Lots if citrus notes build to a bitter crescendo. #1001beers

UPDATED: OCT 18, 2016 Had on tap at brew pub in Bend. Smells like orange peel. Shiny gold color. Aftertaste not nasty until a while later. Ben surprised, said it is very bitter but not complex. Maybe I don?t like complex beers.

Wonderful nose, piney, honey, floral hops. Flavor isn’t as complex as the aroma would lead you to believe. An unfortunate one trick pony, but one which should please any true hop head. Sarlacc83 (2438) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUN 29, 2016
Tap at the brewpub. 4 oz sampler.
A: Orange gold color and thin white head.
N: Orange syrup, onion, biscuit, pine, burnt brown sugar, marshmallow, and mary jane.
T: Quite bitter, moderately sweet.
M: Heavy resinous body, some burn, prickly carbonation.
O: Not a great DIPA. Some hops shine through, but this just doesn’t get a pass in a day when there are so many great examples out there. hayduke (5731) - Eureka, California, USA - AUG 6, 2015
Shared in a joint tasting with Strykzone via Facebook Chat. Pours hzzy gold with a white head. Good lacing. Nose of tropical fruit and citrus. Full in body. Alcohol in mouth feel but not bad. Flavor is intense with the fruit citus, and some pine arrives. Earthy, bitter finish. Very good Strykzone (7806) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - AUG 4, 2015
Bomber from Hayduke that we had together via facebook chat. Bright orange gold with a steady white layer of foam. Tropical fruit dominates the aroma and the flavor. This has 100 IBUs? Uh, no. At almost 60 F it did get a little more bitter with some grapefruit. This beer was dangerously easy to drink. Really nice to enjoy despite the ABV. cobaink2 (845) - seattle, Washington, USA - MAR 19, 2015
Bomber from brewery. What a find. Nice fruity and juicy aroma. Smells fresh as you can expect. Slightly resony but not overwhelming. In love with this!
