UPDATED: NOV 13, 2017 Perfect blend of Porter / cherry/ acidic flavors. Minimal head...sips smoothly bringing together traditional Porter qualities with a nicely subdued Cherry presence and a perfect acidic tartness in the aftertaste. This is a sipping / dessert brew - at its finest. A great brew to finish the evening with. Bravo Bend Brewing !! stevoj (6234) - Boise, Idaho, USA - APR 27, 2017
Draft at brewery. Dark and slick, minimal head. Cherries add a small amount of sweetness to the aroma. Nice consistency, slick and slippery. More of the roast grain base comes out in the taste, and blends well with the fruit. ABV? Not apparent. Overall, pretty nice! IndianaRed (5375) - Boise, Idaho, USA - DEC 17, 2016
Bottle pretty black in this low light environment Small short lived coarse tan head soft subtle modest roast aroma Malty roasted flavors with a touch of cherries and a little astringent mcberko (20934) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 23, 2015
On tap at Growler Guys, pours a dark mahogany with a small tan head. Aroma brings out cherries upfront, followed by some cocoa and roast. Flavour is similar, with potent cherries, some roast, and a little cocoa. Really lovely balanced and quite a lot of complexity. Excellent stuff. Bottle - Lots of dark malts and fruity with a touch of cherry. Deep jet brown with a light brown head. Sweet roasty and fruity, maybe too sweet.

Dark brown pour with a reddish hue, very little head. Low carbonation. Not a ton going on in the nose, slight malt and slight cherry. Really nice taste. Rich roasted malt without being overbearing. Cherry is there. A hint of tart cherry on the finish with a wealth of toasty malt. Yummy. rosenbergh (12166) - Tampere, FINLAND - MAY 3, 2015
Draught at the Bend Brewing Co, Bend, OR.hopscotch (11557) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - DEC 7, 2014
Dark reddish brown colour with a small light tan head.
Dry malt, sweet cherry, mild sweetness and mild sourness in the aroma.
Sweet cherry, mild alcohol and liqueur in the flavour.
Bitter aftertaste. Not that tasty.
Bottle... Pours clear and nearly black with flickers of copper and a fleeting, khaki head. The aroma is roasty and chocolaty with an undercurrent of sour cherries. Full-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and feather-soft carbonation. The flavor presents sweet milk chocolate and acidic, fruity, sour cherries. Lightly sweet, tangy finish. Pulls up just short of being a world class beer. Loads of potential here. Bottle courtesy of newcigarz! slowrunner77 (13938) - Reno, Nevada, USA - OCT 13, 2014
this one had been aged by Bend and as a result was very very smooth, but also just a touch muddled. the tart cherry compliments the dark malts, though, and this was easily one of the best they had on. BuckeyeBoy (9513) - Boise, Idaho, USA - OCT 11, 2014
On tap at Bend pub. Pours out a dark brown almost black with a small head. Nose light coffee some pit fruit cherries and a nice malt. Taste is as the nose with a good little cherry touch and a little roast malts.
