On tap at Alt Koblenz, Koblenz, Germany Tuesday 28th June 2016 whilst having lunch, I had stuffed pigs stomach and Loz had Schnitzel, both great. Almost an orangey brown colour with big banana flavours, refreshing but good depth of flavour, spicy edge, with a dab of spice. Like this. A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov13 3.3

Keg in Einstein’s in Chesterfield. A hazy caramel colour with a frothy off white head. Citrus and banana aroma. The taste is mor citrus and banana. Quite fruity. A hint of strawberry. Light and refreshing. Quite enjoyable.

Pours dark golden and cloudy with a thick white head. Nose is wheaty with a touch of baked beans. A little sharp to taste and a bit largery. Not one of the best wheat beers I’ve had.

500ml bottle into a Weihenstephan glass. Quite dark for a hefe, amber with voluminous frothy white head. Clove phenolics apparent in the aroma, along with some banana bread. Almost more of a weizenbock in taste - the banana bread is there, with big maltiness, some clove but less than expected from the smell. Light to medium bodied. Quite enjoyable, if not a typical hefeweizen.

imdownthepub (15067) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - MAY 27, 2016
Keg at Academie de la Biere - Cathedral, Strasbourg, France. Cloudy orange with white head. Big banana, ester notes, but quite thin on the palate. Some herbal hints, some citrus but quite a struggle for me. Not over keen on this.
