Pounder: Banana nose, subtle bubble gum and lemon notes. Cloudy orange, thick yellow head, nice lace. Banana, apple. Medium body, soft carbonation. Good representative of a favorite style, in a favorite package format, at an absurdly low price. Yep, I’ve found my everyday beer.

Bless me father, for I have sinned - not ever having this fine weissbier before. For penance, I will have three more and make amends. This is a very fine weissbier that is on par with the best of the genre. Banana scent upon opening, pouring a nice hazy orange with fair lacing when quaffing. More malt, less hop, ideal for the style. 500 ml can from our friends at Timer’s in Racine, WI. Drink this fine bier and be absolved of your silly sins. Prosit!

Light brown colour, good lacing. Aroma of banana and clove. Taste wise, light banana, clove, some spice. Drinkable, but doesn’t match the heavyweights of the style.

Even though the foam was not noteworthy, the beer was very very decent. Great onset taste, a good body and even the aftertaste was good. Premium Klosterbier.

Can from Meditrina. Amber/caramel cloudy with lasting head and lace. Spicy clove aroma with hints of banana and caramel. Medium heavy sweetness caramel and peach and banana with spicy light bitterness. Medium very soft body. More like the sweeter darker hefes like Schneider than the light ones I prefer. Still pretty good taste.
