On tap at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell. Cloudy amber with a dense cream head; light clove araoma; sweet banana and clove taste with a smooth grainy body; and a bubblegum candy fruity finish. A pretty classic Hefeweizen.

Sampled at VAN annual meeting 2014. Slightly unclear golden body with a huge, foamy white head that stays. Aroma is a bit weak but standard weissbier. Banana, bubblegum, cloves and slightly citric. Same goes for the flavor. Typical weissbier, but a bit weak and rather uninteresting. Medium body and average to slightly short aftertaste. Totally drinkable, simple, straight forward weissbier.

Location: Draft at Reichenbach Hall, 9/12/14

Aroma: The nose wheat and malts, sweet, fruity, some banana, a bit of spice
Appearance: This one pours an orange color with a decent sized creamy off-white head
Flavor: The flavor follows suit with the nose, sweet malts and wheat, a little spice
Palate: The body is light-medium, it has a decent mouthfeel, and a plus carbonation
Overall Impression: This one is fairly unexciting. Its just fine I guess, nothing much beyond that. You could certainly do worse...

Tap at a local brewpub. Beer in the glass zippy, nice head. Starts mild, malty-yeasty. Fruity notes of banana. Finish milder, still yeasty. Okay.

The first new weiss I have had in a long time that is worth talking about. This is a quality, classic German Hefeweizen. Beautiful beer, with a tall white head, and different shades of orange color, it looks like egg yolk when the last swirl with sediment goes in. Aroma has wheat and light fruit. Sweet flavor, with more wheat, some citrus, and banana. This is good. Thick palate.

11.2oz bottle. Cloudy orange body. Massive foamy white head. Not such an impressive aroma, not such an impressive taste. Drinkable, but this is one of the easiest styles out there. Tastes like a sub-par brewpub example, not exactly what youd expect from a German. Some buttery sweet caramel tones underneath. Not one Id go back for more of.

Bottle from pudel (enjoyed on the ship ride back). Orange hazy. Overripe bananas, wheat malty, slight wet town murky nose. Med bodied, well carbonated. Wheat malts, some vegetable notes, messy. Has good esters, but overall a bit messy.

Poured from draft at vintage lounge. Cloudy orange with white head. Crazy sweet fruity aroma. Taste is slightly bitter, tropical, banana, and also sweet. Not a bad beer

Hazy orange with decent lacy head. Although the flavour is not strong it is well balanced. Lies on the spicy side with a little bit of orangey sweetness.
