50 cl bottle @ Gastropub Tuulensuu, Tampere. BBE 08.06.2012
Aroma is saison-like with hints of tartness and sourness. Apricot and wheat, but no banana at all. Hints of yeast and something that reminds me of weissbier maybe the sweetness and wheat? Flavour is refreshing, a bit floury and very short almost no aftertaste at all. No banana esthers here either, but maybe some apricot and hints of bubblegum, wheat and yeast. Refreshing and good, but a bit thin. A hefe with a saison twist.

From a supermercado, somewhere. Opaque muddied orange with a high bloom of foam. Nose of warm OJ, some Southern Comfort and sick. Better flavour; paper-edged but with decent banana and smoky clove esters and a lemon puff biscuit finish. Hints of dank and TCP yeast. Not brilliant but in the desert Ill take it.

Smells yeasty. Pours surprisingly dark for style. Cloudy amber with good lacing and medium carbonation. Aroma has some fruit to it - peach and pear in light tones. A little salty and sour in taste. Pretty dry leave, medium palate. Bottle.

8/25/13. 12oz bottle at Bad Habitz. Darker pour than expected, almost a clear amber/copper, with a small khaki head that fades. Light banana and fruitiness, some caramel on the aroma. Lightly sweet flavor, toasted caramel and booziness, not much hefe character. Meh.

Pours a hazy golden colour with a white frothy head. Aroma of sweet fruity and citrusy fruits. Flavour of wheat, fruits, citrus and some toffee. Medium bodied, slick mouthfeel and a fruity, slightly dry finish. Refreshing.

Tampa, Fl. - Total Wine - 11.2 oz bottle. Pours a hazy light orange, pillowy white head, nice lacing. Hint of clove in the aroma, some yeast. Flavor has some brief bubble gum notes, hints of bananas and a yeast back end. Mouthfeel is thick enough, but finishes kind of dull. Not the most outstanding hefe.

Ernest (7466) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - JUL 11, 2012
Bottle (BB Dec 2012). Head is initially average sized, frothy/creamy, white, mostly lasting. Body is hazy medium amber, bottle conditioned. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (grain, caramel), lightly yeasty (cobwebs), with notes of creamed corn, plastic, gum, decaying peaches. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter, unclean. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Weird and unpleasant aroma, rather foul aftertaste...a complete hunk o junk, this is.
