500ml bottle. Hazy, bright amber colour with average, frothy to creamy, off-white head. Wheaty, slightly bready and fruity aroma, hints of banana and clove, a touch of mandarine. Taste is wheaty, minimally bready, slightly dry, grassy hoppy overtones. Not that heavy on the banana trip. Sigmund (7487) - Tau, NORWAY - MAR 30, 2014
500 ml bottle, bought in Denmark, probably at Voldby Købmandsgaard. ABV is 5.4%. BB date 20.07.13. Hazy orange colour, large white head. Smells a bit "off", sweetish notes of malts and caramel, only hints of banana and cloves. The flavour is somewhat better, malty character, not too sweet, but again the typical hefeweizen notes of "banana & cloves" are very subdued. Lacks some of the "freshness" of a better hefeweizen, Might buy a fresher bottle at another occasion, to re-rate. mjs (7357) - Helsinki, FINLAND - APR 22, 2012
(Bottle, 0.5 l, at William K Kurvi, 20120422) The beer poured orange and cloudy. Its head was quite large, dense and white. Aroma had clove, banana and fruitiness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, clove, banana, malts, hops and bitterness. Aftertaste was fruity and bitter. Nice and clean hefeweizen with a watery and short finish. AirForceHops (7238) - Epping, New Hampshire, USA - JUL 23, 2013
500 ml bottle from Oliver’s Beverage Center. Date on bottle neck reads 3/29/2013. After opening and drinking I’m sure that is a best before date. That being said, it was still real decent. Darker than normal Weiss color, real hazy amber with lasting head. Malty caramel with light yeast esters. Effervescent body with semi-sweet banana and light clove. I would love to re-rate and find this on draft. A maltier example of a style I love. olsvammel (7225) - Örebro, SWEDEN - JUN 26, 2012
UPDATED: JUN 20, 2014 On tap at Independent Café in Luxemburg. It had a slightly sour smell with some fruits. The sourness was present in the taste as well. Not sure if this is intentional or an infection. It did have the usual wheat beer aromas. Re-rated on tap at the same pub. The sourness wasn’t present so must have been a misstreated keg. Very sweet though.

50cl Bottle from Vomar Noordwijk. Brewed for Benediktiner Weissbräu in Ettal, by Licher, so my bottle says. Hazy golden orange colour, dense off-white head. Aroma of sweet banana, clove, yeast, wheat, typical Hefeweizen fare. Flavour is medium-sweet, spicy, clove, banana, some light-refreshing wheat, light-bitter finish. Light-bodied, firm carbonation. Decent Weizen. McTapps (6889) - Reutlingen, GERMANY - JUL 18, 2013
Bottle with many thanks from MiP. Hazy orange-amber colour with steady head and medium body. Nose of yeast and sparkling wine. Taste of mild elegant yeast, fresh bubbly hops, grass and green apples. Due to its high carbonationcarbonation it is quite refreshing. Nice one - and I must admit this though I don’t really like Hefeweizens anymore. Clear amber color with lasting ivory head. Mild alcohol, caramel, toast, banana aromas. medium body. Nice wheat, toast, caramel, light fruit, banana flavors--not bad. 5000 (6862) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - JUN 9, 2012
Bottle: Pale amber, orange hued, minor haze, lively carbonation with a large foamy white head, sticky lacing. A bit more orange than others, thats for sure. Wheaty nose, pale breadiness as well. No real clove, banana, or bubble gum to mention. Similar tongue, wheaty, a bit sweet, bready, but again... no spices I usually associate with the style. Body and mouthfeel are moderate. Lingering wheat and breadiness. Very simple, clean, but lacking the spices I like to see in a German Hefeweizen. wlajwl (6809) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - APR 18, 2017
Aroma is wheat, light bananas and funky/spicy cloves. The flavor is wheat, light citrus, mild fruit sweetness, cloves and a slightly spicy/tart finish.
