sweetish, bread, touch of citrus and banana, yeasty, light amber (doesn’t change much when yeast residue is poured out), hazy to cloudy, sparkling, nice steady, creamy head, medium sweetness, light to medium body, slick feel, lively, slightly sour, a bit watery, nothing spectacular but nevertheless well-made Weizen chinchill (4989) - South Carolina, USA - AUG 25, 2013
Benediktiner Weissbier from a bottle
Slightly hazy Orange Amber with a fine, durable of white head
Yeast, banana and malt in the nose.
Unusual yeasty flavor with a mild note of banana and fainty spicy. Sweet.
Medium+body with medium but soft carbonation. Near creamy smooth. Welley_Alves (261) - Sao Paulo, BRAZIL - SEP 23, 2013
Boa german hefeweizen. Cor laranja, turva, boa e persistente formação de espuma. Aroma de banana e cravos. Na boca, corpo médio, frutado evidente, com notas de banana e fenólico. Final suave, cravo evidente. Boa breja!

Bottle from Metro Wines, Syston. Starts off quite bland, but as it warms up it does get tastier. Sweet and creamy and commonly good. Great colour and soft head.

Bottle: This one pours a slightly hazy coppery color. There was a small off-white head on it and not much lacing. It has an interesting aroma. Wheat, caramel, some spices. Possible banana hidden in there. The taste is very good. Wheat, some caramel malts, light spice. Neutral to slightly sweet. theOptimator (385) - Sacramento, California, USA - NOV 8, 2013
Aroma is wheat, cereal malt, light clove and noble hop. Appearance is golden brown orangish with huge foamy off white head that lingers. Looks more like a Dunkelweizen than an Hefe. Taste is wheat and cereal malt forward. Some clove present as well. Hop bitterness barely present, slight noble spiciness. Palate is medium full. Sweet malt and cereal linger. Overall this is a nice beer but not really a German Hefe. Too dark and the cereal flavor is quite pronounced. Yeast isn’t doing much in this beer. Still, its unique and a nice drinker.
