In short: A grapefruity-fruit IPA, refreshing, sharply bitter and relatively dry. Excellent
How: Gravity cask at brewpub
The look: Cloudy blond body topped by a small white head
In long: No description per say this time around. This collaboration IPA between Benelux and Hosue Ales is awfully similar to Benelux’s own Sabotage IPA, actually it is like a Sabotage with a lighter body, a little less grapefruity. But overall same character. I slightly prefer Sabotage although on this particular night of IPA blind tasting I preferred Voluxious of Sabotage, but it wasn’t a fresh batch of Sabotage. There were a lot of good beers at this IPA cask event at Benelux, and when there is so many good beers at the same place I turn into some kind of animal… a koala to be more precise, basically I stay there for hours and don’t move very much.

On tap at The Mondial de la biere 2012 in Montréal. The color is a hazy honey with a thick off white head. The aroma is of hops citrus fruits. The taste also of hops citrus fruits plus herbs and malty caramel feel ti it. Good colaboration with House Ales looking forward to tasting beers from House Ales.

A hazed golden ale with a thin off white head. In aroma, a beautiful piney and citrusy hops, pungent and intense, catnip, great. In mouth, a beautiful IPA with grapefruits, piney and catty hops, smooth and balanced. On tap at Mondiale 2012, June 8 2012.

UPDATED: OCT 1, 2013 On tap at bar Volo. A strange bownish colour, thick average mouthfeel, hop aromas. Good grapefruit taste, well malted and a good hop delivery. Strange mutant but very good drinkability. Ha it again at 25th Anniversary but it was not great.

Draught at Mondial de la Bière 2012, June 7. Pours a hazy golden-orange with an average size frothy off-white head. Nice arroma of Citra hops, citrusy and fruity. Lovely flavour, fruity, hoppy, citrusy, with caramel malt way in the back. Nice bitter finish. Medium bodied. Really good stuff.

UPDATED: SEP 10, 2013 on tap at brewpub. one of my highlights from mondial period. hazy bright golden orange with a very nice white head, retention and lacing. citrus, but mainly grapefruit explosion. very clean yeast action, lightly sweet - very hint of caramel, short to medium long finish, medium body - oily, average to moderate carbonation. excellent!

Cask, Mondial. hazy amber and a big, bright aroma. The pithy, citrusy bitterness is bright, clean, refreshing and appetizing. That’s good IPA. This was loosely based on 2 Hop from Volo.

UPDATED: DEC 8, 2014 [4457-20120607] Tap. Bubblegum-like orange citrus hops aroma with a little woody stems. Hazy, orange brown body with a long-lasting creamy off-white head and some lattice lacing. Orange juicy woody hops flavour has a big bold base with lingering citrus pine notes. Medium-full body. Delicious, a great bitter. (8/4/8/4/16) 4.0

My personal highlight beer of the 2012 mondiale. On tap at the Benelux booth, i went back 4 times! Hazy orange pour, medium white head. Wow, i couldn’t get my nose out of my glass. Massive amounts of fresh, green, sticky, hop leaves. Loads of c-hops. Citrus all over the place, like fresh squeezed hop juice. Medium body, and carb. Massive hop finish, juicy, and not too bitter. The bitterness was curbed, and not over powering. A hop heads dream.
