In short: A intensely bitter-hoppy fruity IIPA. A hophead wet dream
How: Tap at brewpub
The look: Cloudy burnt orange body topped by a large beige head with good retention
In long: Intense and vibrant hoppy nose, an explosion of citrus fruits and tropical fruits. Taste is even more intense. Plenty of toasted sweet crunchy malts trying to balance a truckload of bittering hops and their gazillion IBUs. Sweetness takes the form of old crunchy honey mixed with caramel. Bitter grapefruits, bitter oranges, bitter everything. Bitterness level is through the roof. A little alcohol burn at the end adds to the bitterness intensity. At first the beer seems a bit harsh and overly bitter but being the hophead that I am the more I drank it the more normal it tasted, I can even imagine myself drinking this all night. One of the best and most intense Quebec hopfix Ive had. A great 500th batch, and heres to another 30 batches (Im a very short-sighted person).

Draft: Poured a bright golden color ale with a large enough foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of floral and pine-like hops is pretty intense. Taste is also dominated by intense notes of floral hops with some pine and grassy notes also noticeable. Bitterness is quite light and malt backbone is lightly sweet. Body is about average for style with light oily texture and good carbonation. I really enjoyed this one with good restrained bitterness and loads of floral notes.

An orange amber DIPA with a thick creamy light mocha head. In aroma, a superb pungent floral hops, with citrus, pinhey and meaty notes, resinous, in your face. In mouth, a great oily biscuit malt with resinous mouth-covering hops, menthol, pink grapefruit pulp, a classic DIPA. On tap at Benelux, March 11, 2012.

Drank on tap (12 oz) at the brewpub on March 11, 2012. Coppery orange, medium head. Green aroma of hops, fresh herbs and conifer, very bitter. Taste of intense bitter pine hops, notes of dried herbs, I told you it is bitter. Batch # 500 is a gift for lovers of bitterness!

saturated blonde with a generous white head. Intense hoppy aromas of citrus, pine and tropical fruits. Defenitely some Citra in there! Medium to full body, quite hoppy, chewy, loads of great fruity hop flavors backed by a great malt bill. Long fruity-piney finish. Just simply delicious and highly drinkable for a 8 beer. Lovely.

Ce retranchement me plat bien.
