3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: FEB 21, 2008 A swiftly departing white head leaves the orange hue. Expressive juicy hops come out with a strong herbal character (oregano? mint?), stripping out the malt’s evidence. Rather sprucey profile yet with all the citrus one could ask for and more. Crisp and clean palate offers a moderately high carbonation. Woompah, Benoît outdid his homeworks here. Spot on.
I’ve tried the February 2008 batch 2008 under the name Cuda. It was a far fruitier example with excellent tangerine flavours. Score stays the same.
On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear amber with a thin white head. Soft citrus on the nose, a bit of malt, a hint of sweetness, caramel and toast. Medium bodied, soft malt, toast, light citrus. Slow earthy bitterness into the finish. Arcanor (421) - Quebec, CANADA - NOV 19, 2016

Cask at cask days, Toronto 2015. Hazy, small white head. The aroma is hoppy, the taste not as much but the finish is really opt. It’s not as balanced as I expect from a good IPA. rejtable (2674) - Ontario, CANADA - OCT 25, 2015

20 ounces on tap. Aroma: tropical fruits, peaches, piney. App: hazy dark copper, medium beige head. Nice lacing. Taste and palate: medium body, resinous, crisp, medium sticky bitter finish. Overall: really good and refreshing. Really well done. Could be a bit more fruity though. biirusaikou (2705) - - MAR 8, 2015
Draught at brewpub. Plenty of pine/citrus hop action, decent honey malt backbone, dry bitter finish. These guys really don’t mess around with ipa, always with a generous hop bite. brokensail (16449) - Dublin, California, USA - FEB 16, 2015
On tap @ Benelux. Sort of an amber, orange pour with white foam. Really just a lot of caramel malt and bread. Sorta earthy and floral...maybe some grass. There’s a woodiness to the flavor that I don’t care for. Sweet stone fruit and caramel malts dominate. Burnt/smokey finish. Slight citrus rind.
