A deep reddish amber lager with a thick lacing ligh moka head. Light caramel malt in aroma, very simple. The caramel comes out nicely in mouth, with light buttery notes, and an oily mouthfeel. A simple little Vienna, refreshing. On tap at BP on Dec. 23, 2006.

Rastacouere (6174) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 3, 2006
Gold to light amber in color, this lager develops a large white head that demonstrates long-lasting abilities. Well extracted vienna/pale munich malts dominate the flavor profile with their mildly toasty, crisp flavors, captured through Beneluxs usual intense carbonation. Gently sweet flavor profile with indeed a good dose of cerealic chewiness and underlying graininess. Limited hoppiness remains shy and an undertone. Good body, mostly tight despite the pushed up carbonation. State of the art lager that tries to aptly focus on the quality of the ingredients and could get very good with more confidence.

Glouglouburp (6103) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 21, 2006
One-size fits all amber beer meant to please fans of popular quebec amber beers (Borale Rousse, Griffon Rousse, etc.). Not a lot of anything but a little it of many things. Some cereal, some caramel, some hops, some bitterness, some taste. Another professionally brewed crowd pleaser from Benelux, but what about the minority? we have rights too!!!

Cereal malts and light fruitiness in the fairly sweet aroma. Clear pale amber-blonde coloured body is topped by a shy white head that recedes to ring. Fruitiness is apparent also in the flavour along with some very light herbal, spicy, earthy hops and cereal malt sweetness. A touch of butter rounds the flavour out with lasting sweetness in the aftertaste. Light body with overly strong carbonation. Sampled on tap at the brewpub.

Pours a clear light amber color with a thin white head. Decent aroma and flavor of toasted malt, caramel and nuts. The palate is medium and creamy and the carbonation is medium to lively. This is a well-made vienna lager, very classic for the style.

Bright amber color, with an off-white head, mild caramelized malt nose, toffeeish accent, hint of fruitiness, with a note of grainy cereals aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate, a caramelized malt , grainy, toffee notes, hint of peaish malt accent, leading towards a faint hops bittering finish.

Pleasant but somewhat weak caramel aroma with fruitiness that seems to be from hops(?); hints of cherry and banana. Looks like a pale ale; clear, tawny bronze with a thin white cover and lace. Flavour: hops: noble yet fruity, followed by crystal malt and ending with some corn aspects. Refreshing tartness thats ell-balanced with gentle bitterness. Just a little heavy on the corn flavour.
