Bottle. Clear, deep ruby pour, with a small, dense, beige head on top. Sweetish, slightly roasted aroma with some dried fruits. Sweet flavor as well, with prunes, a light roastyness and a little bitterness. Medium body. Sweet finish with dried fruits. A quite nice dunkel. Bottle. "Ferdinand Dark Lager" (4,5%). Pours a clear bit dark brown colour with a medium short lasting light brown head leaving a bit of lacing. Quite sweet roasteb caramel and brown sugar aroma with some roasted malt. The flavour is also quite sweet with toasted malt, caramel, some brown sugar, bit grains and nuts. Sweet dry finish. Pours dark brown, about the color of a brown ale. Nice off-white head about 1.5 inches. Fuzzy carbonation. Malty carmel aroma. No lacing down the glass. Sweet up front with carmelized sugar and chocolate flavor. Somewhat grainy, metalic finish with hop bitterness. A bit thin, but expected in a lager of 4.5% abv. A nice session beer.
