Medium fine beige-brownish lasting head. Lovely reddish-brown body. Light fruity aroma; can’t really make anything much out. Dry (with sweetish notes) roasty dried fruit and raisins taste with caramelly notes. Excellent harmony and balance. Lovely vividness and distinctness of taste. Dry spicy roasty earthy licorice aftertaste lingers. Light acidity can be picked up. Really exceptionally good for the style. Bottle. Dark brown with medium brown head. Aroma sweet bread notes, ryebread in a bottle. Taste sweet malte, some rye notes. Very nice and a good session beer. back (2204) - Holstebro, DENMARK - SEP 1, 2012ThomasE (5174) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - OCT 5, 2004
Even though I have been to the city of Benesov two times, this is my first beer from this brewery. Very dark red colour with creamy off-white head. Aroma is maltet with some roasted malts and hints of coffee. First flavors are mostly the roasted malts, but then there is also some sweetness. Palate is nice and solid, and the beers last impression is a dry bitterness. MartinT (10037) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 8, 2005

Creamy foam on mahogany-brown. Roasted berries and earthy wilderness project oncoming tartness. Dry red wine grapes are perceived.
A cushion-y malt core is topped by sweet cherries, grapes and various berries. Earthy humidity meets light sourness, which gets uncomfortable after a while.
Sitting on forest soil is refreshing.
Draught at Christian Firtal, Odense. Dark ruby colour when held to the light. A bit fizzy. Moderate aroma of caramel malts. Flavour is moderately sweet with caramel and chocolate notes. Hints of blackcurrants. Some hops in the finish, more than in many other dunkels. chriso (7586) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 7, 2005
Draught at Christian Firtal, Odense, August 2005. Quite deep red colour. Sweetish malt character with some chocolate, plus something fruity and slightly sour - reminded me of tamarind. Medium bodied, smooth mouthfeel. Hints of bitterness in the finish. Pretty decent.
