Even though I have been to the city of Benesov two times, this is my first beer from this brewery. Very dark red colour with creamy off-white head. Aroma is maltet with some roasted malts and hints of coffee. First flavors are mostly the roasted malts, but then there is also some sweetness. Creamy foam on mahogany-brown. Roasted berries and earthy wilderness project oncoming tartness. Dry red wine grapes are perceived.
A cushion-y malt core is topped by sweet cherries, grapes and various berries. Earthy humidity meets light sourness, which gets uncomfortable after a while.
Sitting on forest soil is refreshing.
Draught at Christian Firtal, Odense. Dark ruby colour when held to the light. A bit fizzy. Moderate aroma of caramel malts. Flavour is moderately sweet with caramel and chocolate notes. Draught at Christian Firtal, Odense, August 2005. Quite deep red colour. Sweetish malt character with some chocolate, plus something fruity and slightly sour - reminded me of tamarind. Medium bodied, smooth mouthfeel. Hints of bitterness in the finish. Pretty decent.

Sweet malt, caramel and mild roasted nuts in the aroma. Brown with hints of dark amber. Small head. Sweet caramel malt from fore to finish. Caramel and even some chocolate notes. Very one dimensional, but also smooth and comforting.

Bottled. Deep rubyish brown colour with mediumsized creamy off-white head that leaves some lace. Aroma is roasted malts, mild raisins and nuts along with some pine. Pours a dark brown colour with a firm, creamy white head. Aroma of toasted malts, ash and bread. Flavour of sweet toasted malts, nuts, bread, sweet raisins and some toffee. Medium bodied, smooth mouthfeel and a smooth, dry, sweet finish. Very well balanced.
