Sampler at brewpub. Pours black with a khaki head. Leaves trace lacing in the glass. Has a lot of coffee on the nose and tongue. Missing that lactose action that would truly make it both a sweet stout and really awesome. AirForceHops (8179) - Epping, New Hampshire, USA - MAR 17, 2017
4 oz. sampled at the source. Tan lasting head. Aroma is pretty nice; coffee, roast, and light lactose. Flavor is a direct reflection of the aroma, coffee bean right up front with a vanilla and roasted finish. ozzy70 (1357) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - SEP 9, 2016
My only complaint is the thinner body. If the Brewer could beef up the body, this would be killer.
Tap at GNBF. Pour was black, tan head. Aroma was coffee, chocolate, cocoa. Taste was medium sweet, roasty, chocolate. MetalNHopHead (2313) - Lincoln, Nebraska, USA - AUG 28, 2015
Of the beers I sampled at Benson, this was definitely my favorite. This beer had a creamy taste and feel but it was balanced quite well by the fresh, roasted flavor of the malt. There was enough sweetness that you noticed it but never so much as to wear out its welcome. While a little more complexity would be nice, sometimes fewer flavors can be okay. Especially when you’ve got flavors this nice. HuskerTan (2470) - Ravenna, Nebraska, USA - AUG 24, 2015
A- Coffee, creamer, roasty, mocha, cocoa.
A- Black color, dark liquid, off white head.
T- Coffee, cream, roasty.
P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, smooth finish.
O- A very nice stout that is sweet but not too sweet and full of flavor. Very nice.

Draft at the source with HuskerTan and Jared. Opaque brown color. Aroma of cocoa powder. Taste is roasty cocoa and coffee grounds. My favorite of the bunch. ads135 (5235) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - AUG 8, 2015
Not a bad sweet stout. Dark brown with a thickish head. The sweetness comes through more in the aroma than the flavor. edgallow (4689) - nashville, Tennessee, USA - JUL 29, 2015
Draft sampler pours black with alan head. Aroma of malts, coffee and chocolate. Taste is coffee and chocolate. unclemike (3206) - Junction City Kansas, Kansas, USA - MAY 11, 2015
oured a black color with a medium off-white creamy head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Medium toasted chocolate malt and coffee aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium roasted bittersweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of average duration BVery (11494) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - SEP 18, 2014
Tap at the brewpub. Very dark dense looking pour with a light cream head. Lactose and roasty aroma. Mild roast and sweetness on the taste. Excellent.
