Black pour with attractive tan head. Aroma and flavor features coffee, vanilla, chocolate, light bourbon, oak, lactose. Complex and the flavors are well balanced. All in all, a very nice beer. Slight off flavor in the finish is the only thing that detracts. thomashall (1602) - New Hope, Minnesota, USA - JAN 17, 2016
Bomber shared by Bvery, thanks buddy! Pours thick black pour. Bourbon front aroma, taste some wood, slight vanilla. Really good stuff. BVery (11491) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - JAN 17, 2016
Bomber. Very dark opaque pour. Bourbon, mild char, slick somewhat oily texture. Great beer. kraddel (9424) - Antwerp, BELGIUM - DEC 17, 2015
Bottle. Pours dark brown, good, rather white head. Smell is sweet, very sweet bourbon. Bit of a weird aspect I can’t quite describe. Taste is Bourbon, grainy, sweet, good MF and Carbo. Lovely bourbon taste ! jackl (8597) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - DEC 9, 2015
Keg @ Red Cow. Deep brown with a tight tan head. Plenty of bourbon character on the nose. Loads of vanilla, toffee. Rocky road fudge. Sweet chocolate syrup. Flavor generally sweet with moderate roasted butterness for balance. Fat and sticky. Hot finish. Active carb keeps things from being burdensome. Solid.

750ml bottle. This is a terrific barrel aged stout, thick, cocoa, nice bourbon character, good stuff. Ferris (17776) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 11, 2015
Bottle - Chocolate, caramel and barrel notes. Deep dark brown with a beige head. Nice chocolate notes, syrupy toffee and lots of barrel notes and a nice finish. deyholla (12663) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - SEP 30, 2015
On tap at Red Cow North Loop. Pours cola black with a brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of bourbon supported by dark grains, coffee and a touch of vanilla. Flavor has a combination of vanilla, bourbon and dark grains with a light roast and coffee supporting. sthlm (790) - Blank, Alabama, USA - MAY 24, 2015
[Bottle] Pours dark brown with a small light brown head. Aroma is big on barrel. Caramel and maple syrup at times. Taste also has lots of barrel influence with coconut, a little heat, chocolate, vanilla, and notes of cherries. Complexity really increases as it warms, with the barrel integrating instead of dominating. Medium mouthfeel, very smooth, and long finish. Overall, a very solid beer. The first bottle I had was more one dimensional, but really blew me away. That one was like a decadent bourbon soaked brownie, whereas this one is more complex. Overall, the two bottles I have tried have both been great, but surprisingly different. vandc01 (460) - North Branch, USA - MAY 24, 2015
Poured from a waxed sealed bottle that I received around Thanksgiving - about 6 months ago.
Aroma - I believe this is my first barrel aged beer, and the aroma is absolutely amazing. Dark chocolate, coconut, cherries - WOW
Appearance - dark as night. Nice creamy head - work of art!
Taste - There are not enough O’s in now smooth this beer is. Definitely getting the bourbon - coconut, cheeries.
Overall an amazing beer! Well done Bent Paddle crew!
