From a growler brought to me by jcwattsrugger. Pours a dark orange with a one finger thick off white head. Some lace. Strong citrus aroma backed by biscuity malt. Lots of grapefruit and pine resin flavor, than a nice caramel sweet finish. Medium bodied. Easy to drink and delicious. timmy300 (203) - bloomington, Illinois, USA - SEP 19, 2005
this was a good apa on tap at bent rivaer brewing company...... there was a sign at the bar that suggested getting a mix of this and the jalopeno ale... i got a taste of the jalopeno, which was good, but decided to just get this by itself... lots of grapefruit and nice and bitter.... oldrtybastrd (5002) - Fort Walton Beach, Florida, USA - MAR 2, 2006
On tap @ The Bent River Brewpub. Pours a medium amber color. Aromas of floral hops and something herbal. Flavor is hoppy, herbal with a tart start and a mellow dry finish. DalzAle (2037) - Eden Prairie, Minnesota, USA - DEC 30, 2008
On tap today at the brewpub. Pour was a hazy light orange color and had aroma of light hops and citrus. Flavor was mostly hops, but very crisp and went down easy. If I lived in town, this would be regular growler purchase for me. Cant wait for my next visit to the Quad Cities. Cavie (4718) - Arlington, Texas, USA - MAY 28, 2010
cloudy dirty orange appearance. Aroma has a smattering of hops; crisp, fruity, clean and spicy. Nice smell. Some banana. Taste is largly centinneal and cascade. Hopped flavor with a nice bitter finish.

On tap at the brewpub in Moline. Good citrus herb hop, good balance, and nice bold flavors. Minimal pillowy head on the cloudy, burnt orange pour. The nose is on the lighter side and is slightly soapy. Aroma is fruity in general with notes of melon fruit, citrus, light tropical fruits, apples, and cereal grains. The body is well bittered, slightly chewy, and decently balanced. More caramels and light toasty cereal grains come through in the more complex flavor. Then big, bitter, chewy citrus fruit, and thick herbal come through. Lingers sticky pine and herb. This was solid. keepersj12 (3117) - Sicklerville, New Jersey, USA - JUN 21, 2012
A slightly hoppier version of their pale ale. Nice malt aroma with some grass and bread. The flavor starts with a sweet malt base followed by a nice hop finish. Dry and refreshing. stefanberggren (135) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 26, 2004
Holy Hops Batman ! Wow this is something to savor if you are a hop head. Full of citrusy cascade bitterness and aroma. Cloudy due to protien suspension from dry hopping. Nice IPA and when I finished my glass I was ready to place my order for another. Warning this is not for the weak of hop heart, only hop heads need apply... UPDATED: DEC 27, 2006 On tap at the brewpub last night. $3.50 for a pint. Hazy orange pour with a small head. Aroma wasn’t too strong (maybe it’s just because I was at a smokey bar) but I picked up some sweet, citrusy notes. Nice smooth hoppy taste to it. Not too strong and decently balanced by some malt. This would be a good session beer. JPDIPSO (6223) - Wauwatosa, USA - AUG 19, 2007
Lightly hazed amber to light copper color. Smaller off-white head. Full fresh hops aromas with mild grapefruit and citric zest. Hints of pale malts in the background. LIght caramel start which is ushered aside by the fresh hops. Grapefruit with just a touch of light fruit. Some what light in feel, but not to overpowering to make it seem thin.
