Limited time only, but what a great strong beer. Rather heavy on alcohol, but the flavors are great.
20100608 Tap at brewpub. Malt focused, quite hot, but decent. Not really an old ale but an interestingly sweet indulgence. Peppery alcohol. Some leathery notes, vanilla, macadamia. Cavie (4717) - Arlington, Texas, USA - MAY 28, 2010
clear orange color. Lots of head. Strong caramel smell. Sweet notes but strong. Flavor of candied sugar and malt. A small feeling of sour but only a hint. Finishes sweet. drowland (8676) - Georgia, USA - MAY 11, 2010
5/10/10. On tap at the brewpub in a snifter. The pour is cloudy amber with a small off-white head that fades to a ring fast. The aroma is light burnt sugar and alcohol - not much going on. The flavor is sweet caramels with a surprising hop presence. Some mild chocolates hiding in there as well. Not bad, not amazing. msante79 (2225) - Mount Prospect, Illinois, USA - APR 27, 2010
Growler at DLD from Rooftoprogue. Pours orangiesh copper with off-white head. Aroma of caramel, light hops, toffee, malt, and bit of citrus. Flavors of malts, caramel, and some hops. This was heavily oxidized. Like sucking on coins. Will have to re-rate in future.
