Bottle - via Ale in the Mail. Dark amber color - cloudy. Mostly clean, slightly hoppy aroma. Good. Combination of malt, roastiness and hops. Roastiness in beginning and hops at the finish. SPDickerman (1239) - Texas, USA - DEC 5, 2013
Pours hazy orange with a large yellowish white head. Smells mildly hoppy with a mild malt backbone. Taste has some bitterness and a touch of malt sweetness. Medium-bodied with a wet texture and average mouth-carbonation, Bent River Paddle Wheel Pale Ale finishes with a quick bitterness. eggraid101 (79) - Virginia, USA - JUL 9, 2015
A good unassuming pale ale. I'd be happy to drink this again in the future

Has some chill or hop haze, orange copper.Light head.Slight lace.
Pretty good hoppy nose with some earthy mineral.Lightly peppery.
Taste is a light body cleanish but hoppy beer, some spiceyness.Seems to have some nobelish hop to it but stronger since its a pale ale.Enjoyable sessional taste, mildly watery/light but pretty hoppy for a pale ale.Good strong finish hoppy with good bitter.Have to say,Im more impressed with the bottle version opposed to the keg brewery tap version. This has been the most impressive beer they bottled yet,Uncommen stout was a little disapointing in the bottle compaired to tap. nuplastikk (6220) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - JUL 4, 2013
12oz bottle. Copper body. Big, steady, off-white head. A pretty decent American Pale Ale. Toasty malt backbone. Dry, bitter, straw hops. Clean and sessionable, fruity ale yeast tones. At six percent if comes across a little hefty, with a flavor profile more suitable to lower ABV beer. Respectable offering,

Draft at the Rock Island Bent River location. Poured a mostly clear orange color with a small white head. Aroma was light hop notes - a touch of grapefruit and citrus, some light sweet malt. Nice light floral hops, some good balanced malt character. Sweet, but pretty well balanced. Easy to drink. pablo951 (670) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 25, 2013
Had it on tap at Bent Brewery in Moline IL. Poured a clear amber hue, slight hop aroma light head and a medium bodied hop taste. Terminus (3679) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - APR 19, 2016
Tap at brewery
Pours lite copper hue with a small soapy white head and sparse lacing. Nose is all c hops. This could be the best snpa clone I have ever had. It’s dead on in every aspect. Solid stuff. Nice leafy grapefruit hop flavors. Standard but good. drowland (8629) - Georgia, USA - OCT 1, 2014
On tap at the brewpub. Old notes from June. I was surprised I hadn’t rated this already. Light amber pour with a small khaki head that sticks and laces mildly. Plain aroma, not offensive, some sweet toffee notes, citrus, a bit of a grape kick. Sweeter pale flavor, caramel malts poking through a touch strong for me, citrus hops, doughy. Not bad.
