Tap - small foamy head, pale straw color, light and sweet malt/corn like aroma and flavor, mild hop balance, crisp finish, ok overall ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Strykzone (7723) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - SEP 2, 2016
Sample at the brewry. Clear golden with just a little off white foam. Aroma is spicy. As is the flavor. Earth and grain with a little corn. Noble hops are nice. A little honey. Bitterness is pleasant. A much better Pilsner than what is often brewed in the US.

This is a great example of how an unfiltered/non-pasteurized Bohemian style lager should be. It’s clean, crisp with a great hop finish. I could drink this all day.

cbfobes (2887) - Quad Cities, Illinois, USA - JAN 24, 2015
On tap at rock island location, pours a hazy yellow with a thin head, aroma had a slight kick of corn and not much else, flavor has a corn front end with a sweet finish, boring, meh.

On tap at the brewpub in a pint glass. Sour corn flavor with a slight hoppy bitterness, but not enough.

heemer77 (5360) - Urbandale, Iowa, USA - APR 3, 2008
On tap at the brewpub. The body was dark gold with a dense, bright white head. The aroma was grainy with some bread crust. There was also some hints of the spicy Saaz with green bell pepper. The taste was fairly sweet with some cake donus. There was also carrots and peanut shells. Decent.

JPDIPSO (6293) - Wauwatosa, USA - AUG 19, 2007
Looks like this brewery is starting to et into the lagering game. Lightly hazed golden color with a full white head. Small lines of lace. Light noble hops, with a touch of grass. Mild pale malt drift around in the background. Light pale malt sweetness in the front followed by a light zip of zest. Finish is crisp and light. Perhaps a touch acidic, but a nice domestic pils.

GeneralGao (3614) - Iowa City, Iowa, USA - APR 29, 2007
Draft at the brewpub. Poured a clear golden color. Head was thin and white. There wasn’t much lace on the glass at the end. Pretty standard pilsener. Light noble hop aroma complimented by a tocuh of cereal grain. Slightly sweet on the tongue. Honey touched malty cereal grain dominated the flavor with only a bit of hop in the background.

another solid beer from bent river.....straight forward, mild hops, very quenching.....i knew i wasn’t drinking watered down crap, but it didn’t over power and distract me from my burger
