, wolverhampton. Dark chestnut colour, residual head. Slight sweet malt aroma. Taste is of dark fruits and as mentioned by Dan, a strange tobacco taste. I dont smoke but I quite like the taste.20 Benson and hedges next.
Hand pulled at the Post Office Vaults, Birmingham. I can never resist another Beowulf rate. Amber, with smooth head. Sweetish aroma. Nondescript. Ashy sweet, faint coco, a little tobacco. Really dull. DonMagi (5593) - bantervile, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - NOV 16, 2009
Cask in the market porter. Alround rating: Pale honey malt, grassy hop, fairly minerally and lightly sulphury water character. Acht its another one of those. Bullit (4675) - Burgos, SPAIN - APR 18, 2009
Cask @ 3 Judges. Clear amber colour, off-white head. Aroma is slightly fruity. Favour of biscuit malts. Bitter and dry finish. harrisoni (19165) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - DEC 27, 2008
Cask handpull at Market Porter, Borough Market. Chestnut colour, lasting beige head. Smells of pork, but the beer is quite good. Pork crackling and apple sauce. Yeast pork aroma, good condition, ok malts and good earthy hops. Different and porky, plus the hops are good.

A Mes rate: cask at the Market Porter. Copper coloured with a decent off white head. Eggy, sulphorous nose with a slight metallic tinge. Nothing to fall in love with. Odd flavour. Nothing particularly offensive but I just can’t get to grips with it. Lots of fruity malt. Faint cardboard. Just a lick of bitterness. Strange mineral note in the finish. Odd, not unpleasant but nothing to get excited about. DJMonarch (9179) - Northwich, Cheshire, ENGLAND - FEB 27, 2006
Cask Stillage at the Boundary, Audenshaw 26/10/2001
Golden coloured rich and sweet on the palate. Hop finish. leaparsons (10696) - Wigston, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - JAN 14, 2004
Amber in colour with a rusk-like malt aroma. Flavours are fruity malts with some Burtonesque sulphur. A decent enough traditional bitter.
